For your own email domain, you can purchase a ".com" for $10.99 at the link below.

If it's a purely personal email, ".us" is on sale at only $3.99 per YEAR. The email is free and fairly easy to set up. The domain registration leaves you inside a new account. In the menu on the left, click ... EMAIL! Just follow the steps and you should have no problem. If so, just call the 24/7 customer service number (at this moment only a 3 minute wait)

You'll have both webmail to read in your browser, and (POP email) a mailbox you can download into Windows Mail or whatever and read off your computer. You can use both browser and download email at the same time, so you can check your email at a friends house.

In other words, the $3.99 would give you an email address of Shoopdawoop@

The email has no ads, but a number of other freebies do have ads -- like a free website, and photo gallery, and blog. If you can spare $3.99 :-)

Source(s): click "domain registration" in the black menu bar.

Purchase a domain name from a domain registrar. This typically costs around $10-15 per year.
