Look, what would you like to see if you went on to a website? Whatever that is try and incorporate that into your own website. You have to attract visitors. You have to make them look at more than one page and not dissappear straight away, you have to interest them and keep them interested. You have to show them something they want. Not too difficult.

Try and forget what you want (particularly revenue). Just give your visitors what they want!!

Here are some of the features you will need for your website.

Password Areas: Some websites require users to enter a username and password. This feature is often implemented.

Feedback Forms: Online forms are wonderful tools for collecting customer information.

Content Management Systems: Content is the heart of today's websites, and managing that content with a content management system is one of the most import decisions you need to make.

The best way I know to help people make great websites is to show them websites that suck. Literally.

It must load fast so that people don't have to wait forever. Have good on site optimisation, etc done on it so that it ranks higher for your KW, and thus that will result in more traffic = more money!!
