Is it normal if I do not understand the game of baseball at first?

    Yes. There's a lot more to baseball than meets the eye. Lots of rules and strategies that the casual fan doesn't understand. The more you get into it and the more you learn about it, the more you will appreciate baseball.

    Sure. Remember that the fundamental aspect of baseball is a one on one battle between the pitcher and the batter. The pitcher tries to throw the ball past the batter and the batter tries to hit the ball in fair territory. There's plenty else going on, but baseball revolves around that single duel.

    Baseball has alot of rules, and alot of different stats to keep track of. If you didn't grow up watching it it may be hard to understand at first, but once you get into it, it is an interesting game.

    Just watch a few games and try to find a team to root for and you will get the hang of it pretty fast.
