Did you change lighting in the room? Is the lighting fluorescent tubes or CFLs? Did you change orientation of the monitor in respect to current fluorescent tubes or CFLs?

All of these things can make the flicker very noticable.

Recommend just setting your refresh rate to 70Hz.

At 60 Hz refresh rate somethings will flicker, it is not a problem with your monitor. Keep is at 70 or 85 hz and things will not flicker anymore. The image refreshes on the monitor very fast, so if you have the refresh rate high, the image refreshes faster so you will not notice the flicker anymore. This is not a problem with your monitor

    There is no fault.

A crt monitor set to a refresh rate of 60Hz will always appear to flicker.

When you set it to 70Hz, the refresh rate is too fast for your eyes to detect. If you were to set it even higher the screen would appear to be even more "still".

It is normal to see the flicker a 60hz and not at 70hz I leave mine at 75hz.
