If there is one human race why is there still racism in the world?

Because people are too stupid to realize that race is a social-political construct created to justify genocide , slavery & war

But to be honest, even if racism didn't exist, it would be replaced by some other -ism: classism, nationalism, religious intolerance, colorism etc

Because it is human nature to fear and demonize the different, the "other". In prehistory, it was actually a good survival strategy, because the "other," not being a member of your clan or tribe, was likely to fight it out with you for the best hunting grounds or whatever other advantages you had. You needed to be on the alert for such people, prepared to kill them.

If everyone looked alike, then human beings would select some other basis on which to discriminate, I promise.

It's not that hard to figure out if you have a brain. When one refers to race, they usually are meaning color of skin or background heritage.

Of course race exists ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_%28classification_of_humans%29 ). It's simple.Put a black next to a white and an asian.And look them carefully.Don't you see the differance?
