Help for nightsweats caused by leukemia?

Hi,my father was diagnosed with leukemia about 3 years ago,he has faired pretty good sinced then (no chemo/radiation needed yet)He did have bypass surgery 2 years ago and was told that these can be expected,but this long?he is 78 yrs old and in pretty good health otherwise,his main complaint the last couple months... show more Hi,my father was diagnosed with leukemia about 3 years ago,he has faired pretty good sinced then (no chemo/radiation needed yet)He did have bypass surgery 2 years ago and was told that these can be expected,but this long?he is 78 yrs old and in pretty good health otherwise,his main complaint the last couple months is nightsweats! he tells me he can wake up in the nite and his tee shirt is drenched! he has told me on a bad day he can go thru 3 tee`s a day/nite. The oncologists does not offer him anything to take for these, I heard that black cohosh might help him?if anybody out there has any advice on a herb,or food/drink that can at least tame these down for him it would be greatly appreciated!
