People can believe what they like, experience what they like and do what they like. And it's not a problem at all if no harm is done. So they can find something more positive and more intrinsic, and grow in awareness and understanding all around that. There's no conflict in this at all. anyone and everyone could do it and anyone and everyone could benefit.

But people often don't allow themselves permission to do this, and correspondingly often attempt to deny other people permission to do it. And the effect starts very early on in life.

It's a catch 22, because everything that's real and positive is viewed in a negative way by some others, who have negative beliefs, emotions and thoughts and experiences instead of positive ones.

When you figure out there is theory and negative concepts and beliefs and attempted mind control technology in the form of pharmacology that's applied to attempt to discredit real experience and destroy functioning and any state that appears different and/or more expansive and/or more mysterious and/or more intrinsic in some way, and that this is currently growing exponentially in an attempt to maintain the negativity, then very few people are going to reveal any significant secrets in a way in which they could be identified. Even with witnesses available, they will only check witnesses once, and never again no matter how many there are or who they are, if there's anything involved that people with a more negative and fear based point of view have no experience of and/ or too afraid to admit even if they do. So most of reality and experience (especially if it's unusually positive) is going to be largely secret for a long time. It particularly applies to self-knowing and self awareness growth at times when it's more rapidly occurring.

"The mystery is you." "All that you are." "Self-empowerment." I often use those kinds of expressions, because there is just so much more than a lot of people realise, and most of it can't even be reasonably conveyed in words. And even the slightest thing that's been known to be there for a very long time and noone has noticed, can meet with some very extreme reactions if it's stated.

If everyone told secrets and could freely do so without extreme physical threat, then we wouldn't have a hierarchical top down society or any kind of competition at all. Because everyone would know they were empowered instead and had hidden secrets of their own to discover and improve their own lives and the lives of others and sharing could also take place freely. Any kind of control of people depends on secrecy. It will take time to evolve from the current state of society.

We live in a world with secrets because there are things that we can't say unless we want to be taken advantage of. It's our fault we have secrets, we can't trust one another and we can't (all) be trusted.

If we lived in a world where everyone tells secrets, we'd all be taken advantage of and life would be very difficult. So naturally, we'll always have secrets because we can't live without them. Even though we complain about secrets, we need them sometimes to protect ourselves.

Lol, I didn't know people had already said basically what I said. But I guess you'd like to read less words with the same meaning.

Here's a couple famous lines, "you can't handle the truth", and "we're only as sick as our secrets".

And like another answer, somethings are better left unsaid.

Like if your wife ever asks you, does this dress make me look fat? You could say it's a white lie or maybe just your little secret you don't want her to know how you really feel about her appearance in the dress.

  • We live in a world with secrets, because we live in a world with a majority of innocent, ignorant, silly, blind, dumb, dull, sick, screwed up, manipulated, trapped and unaware humans. Who believe of themselves, that they are the 'crown of creation', but in reality they live in a self created fake dream world. That makes, that they are so blown up turning around themselves, that even a slight pinch at their 'ego balloon' might make them collapse. That's why people must try to keep all what holds them in their ridicules condition as a 'secret'. So people who are somehow conscious about these facts and see the limitation in this and also the destructive results of people's infantile 'secrete games', feel urged to change this so much suffering causing condition and so they try to reveal those 'secrets'. These idealistic helper engage themselves very much, but their effort doesn't really work, because the survival need, that is part of the human nature, is so strong, that it has build up an effective defense strategy, by rejecting every thing that does not confirm ones established position. This might be seen as something negative from the 'helper position', but having a different standpoint, then this condition can be understood as a protection of those 'underdeveloped' individuals and gives them a certain security, even though this is an illusion and false, but within this cocoon of personal limitation, people can grow the strength, to break their personal straitjacket in their time.

Who wants to change people, having a good and idealistic intention, but doesn't know enough about oneself and others, mostly is using ones activities, not being aware of this personal background fact, - to find confirmation for ones own concepts and views and this will not be effective to influence people or conditions, so that they can grow more *freely*.

Yes, a secret is individually defined. Therefore, even if everyone had them, they would exist, in many forms.

  • There is no secrets, just pieces of chemical processing that we do not understand, and possibly will never understand without collapsing the world which holds up a ton of weight with all of the science.

  • It could be that, it does better about some things that should be kept as secrets.

While the others can be openly revealed whether sensibly or not..:)

Then the rests as being discovered..

    Have a nice time..!!
