There are very few really good Paleo recipe books out there. I have read a few but my favorite one has to be The paleo recipe book. This is based off of my belief that a GREAT cookbook is Written by someone who can write and cook well, who has a strong point of view and the courage of his/her convictions, and who can make a coherent, compelling narrative out of every recipe.
Personally, I don't care about pictures, though good illustrations are always welcome; the drawings in the last several James Beard books are outstanding examples. I cant stand I abhor sloppy writing, listless writing, words used as filler; some books I have start out strong and then run out of steam. Writers who default to Quick n Easy, Marian Burros, for instance, annoy the whee out of me.
The Paleo Recipe Book was created by a very enthusiast health and fitness expert Sebastien Noel. He suffered from various health problems which forced him to research his diet and come up with a solution. Sebastien realized that going back to the basics was the right decision and then after years of research he came with the famous recipe book.
