What are the consequences of excessive masturbation in male adults and male teenagers?

I also would like to know if excessive masturbation also causes penis shrinkage. The reason why I am even asking this question is because of the fact that I read that excessive masturbation can cause fatigue and lower back pain. One website even said it can cause penis shrinkage. I simply want to know wheter all this is true or all of this is false.

I am a teenager by the way.

No smartypant or perverted answers please. Thank you.

Wow, i thought that kind of thinking went out with the dark ages. you poor thing. wrong info can really mess a kid up. I'm a mother and i really don't think there is such a thing as "excessive teenage" masturbation. it is constantly on your mind and masturbation is a healthy release.

then again what do you consider excessive? boys generally think about sex every few seconds i believe. if by excessive you are putting yourself in danger of getting caught then yes, that's excessive and you may need to talk to someone but then again remember American pie? if not you should rent it remembering of course that it's a movie. oh and no it definitely does not cause shrinkage, maybe fatigue for the moment, back pain ,don't know.

Masturbation is all medically accepted, but not excessive masturbation is accepted by physicians.

The main side effects are fatigue and it may also lead to serious pyscho-sexual effects which you will suffer once u enter into a relationship.

SO MASTURBATION IS GOOD, BUT NOT EXCESSIVE as known by us TOO MUCH OF ANYTHING IS GOOD FOR NOTHING

Nothing is harmed by masterbating, unless you do it like 8 or 10 times a day, which of course would interfere with normal social development and interaction with other people. Masterbation is no different physically than sexual intercourse, yet you never see anyone asking if too much sex is dangerous or shrinks your penis! Of course not, since sex is considered natural. Masterbation is normal and natural also, and as 99% of all males have done it, and 95-97% do it regularly, obviously there is no harm in it, or it would not be so practiced. Any taboos or false claims about masterbation you read are caused by self righteous idiots who want to foist their beliefs and ideas on others. Certain logic would be that if any guys found masterbation made the penis smaller, they would never ever do it again, and let every other guy know as well. Neither will it make it grow, otherwise every guy would need a 3rd leg in their jeans or shorts. Does not cause acne, or hair growth, or any other condition-- it is simply ejaculation resulting from solo external stimulation, as opposed to ejaculation resulting from external stimulation provided by another person (intercourse). Not sure why people can't figure out basic physiology!

The main effects loss of semen has on your body are lowered testosterone levels and a slowed metabolism.

    Testosterone is responsible for:

    # Maintenance of muscle mass and strength

    # Maintenance of bone density and strength

    # Mental and physical energy

    # Male characteristics
