what causes yeast infection in women, and can men get it too? what are the symptoms in both genders?
What other genital infections can men get from women that men normally will not get?

Yeast infections are usually a result of loss of beneficial bacterial flora in the vaginal area, taking antibiotics can do this. Usually there is discharge and a sweet yeasty smell. For sure, men can carry this yeast as well if they have had unprotected sex with someone who has an active yeast infection, and can even pass it back to a partner who has been cured of the infection.

Men getting yeast infections is more normal than you might think. They just don't get it like women do, for obvious reasons.
Yeast effects the whole body. Or at least that's what I've read. I'm no doctor.
I also read that yeast infections can be caused by antibiotics, lots of sugary foods and fatty foods, too.Source(s): This is where I got some of my info. Hope it helps! http://hubpages.com/hub/Reoccuring-Yeast-Infection...
