Well, hatred is bad, yes. You're understandably upset, however. Recent events have been hard to confront for all of us, regardless of our beliefs, because, as a society, we view priests as honourable, basically good people. It is a serious betrayal, but try to remember that they are human beings, and that the vast majority of them (97%) do live up to the incredibly high standards all of us have projected for them. For every horrible incident of abuse, how many other lives have been changed for the better by a priest and the Church? Hundreds, thousands? This is a fallen world, and we are all sinners, but the concept and role of the Church is to be a beacon of Hope. Try to keep faith in that, and remember that the Church is not its outward seeming, but an invisible presence, the Kingdom here and now.
