Affirmative Action has been around since 1978 that I know of, and the only thing it does is lower the standards for quality and customer service.
If the person is qualified and can handle the job, hire them. If the person is hired just for political reasons, generally the people have no respect for the job or the outcome of their duties.
Quality of goods or services should be priority. If AA has worked to improve groups or people that it has suppose to have helped, why do the standards need to be lowered to qualify the person just for diversity?? It has been more than 30 years and the quality of products and quality of customer service has only declined.
Other countries put the US to shame by being good at what what they do. I have worked with people from many countries for decades, and the US has only continued to decline in quality in business, and in education. A few decades ago, people worked hard to achieve and had pride when they did get the job. Today, there are some that do work hard to improve, but most know that many will just have opportunities handed to them and get preferential treatment if they fit a politically correct category, so why bother working hard and improve??
