• Many States allow minors to get tattoos with parental consent. So is there anything stopping a minor from hiring a fake parent?

Im not underage, I am just posting this question out of curiousity as I once saw this situation happening. I was getting a tattoo myself done, and I saw a 17 year old try to come in alone to get some work done, and he was told his parent or legal guardian must come in and fill out and sign paperwork for it. That got me wondering, how do they verify parental or guardian status of the adults that come in in these cases? The only way I could think of is if they require both the adult and the minor to present photo IDs and then see if the surnames are the same. But that would be impractical as non-parent legal guardians usually do not have the same last name as the minor they have custody of, and in the case of divorced parents, the minor generally does not share the surname of both parents. Hell, its getting more and more common for the wife to retain her maiden name even in marriage these days, so even a minor with a set of married parents might not have both their surnames. That being said, what if that minor had hired someone old enough to be their parent to come in and pose as such and sign off on it. Say the child posts a craigslist ad offering cash for such a person. You would be suprised at the kinds of ads that will get responses from seemingly normal adults in exchange for money these days. How do the folks at the tattoo parlor know that the adult who stands before them isnt really the parent?

There is no chance of any apprenticeships until your 18 - you are not allowed in a artist's studios until your 18 in the UK.

    My advice
Goto to college and study art after your A-levels.
Look into doing courses dealing with Bloodborne pathogens - a must for any tattoo artist.
And you will need to have a portfolio - a sketchbook with your best (varied) drawings.

When your 18 - or whenever you complete the above - find a studio that offers apprenticeships and enquire, ensure you have the portfolio and qualifications on you. These will help.you get ahead of the pack as artists will only want to mentor those who have potential.

Avoid tattoo schools at all costs - overpriced and will rarely ever guarantee any jobs, and an artist will want to train you their way.

But my mom always told me to get it in places where people can’t see it, because you know the regular “you can’t get a job” or “you won’t be able to join the army”. But honestly I am not thinking about joining the army at all honestly but I really want to get a sleeve on one arm and do half a sleeve on the other like nothing bad just things like roses cause I’m into roses it just gives me a vibe and red is my favorite color and I also want some on my back hand palm too. But again my mom says I won’t be able to get a job and especially That I’m brown skin with long nappy curly hair and earrings and a chain so they think most definitely I won’t get a job but honestly I don’t kno what I want to work at but i am sure that I want a lot of tattoos and nothing bad either jus like roses and quotes things like that so will I be able to get a job?

  • Most popular place to regret a tattoo?

Best answer: Why do people keep saying face? I don't think it's a popular option and those that get it 1 on face, will rarely regret it.

I'm going to say the body. Very vague i know but it's not the placement for people that make them regret it, it's the tattoo itself.

My wife wants to get her third tattoo. When we met she did not have any but after we got married she got a very small tattoo on her wrist. After some time she suggested we get a couples tattoo I do not like tattoos on myself so I said no just like I told my sisters when they ask to get a sister s tattoo. A few months ago my wife s friend asked her to get a matching tattoo and they did. It is also small and be hidden easily under clothing. I was not thrilled then either but she said it would be small and it is a very simple design. A few weeks ago she mentioned she wanted to get another tattoo, this time she wants a 2 inch tattoo on her arm. At the time I expressed I didn t love the idea of her getting more tattoos. However, I told her it s her body, her decision. She said she wouldn t get the tattoo because she would prefer to have my blessing, otherwise it didn t feel right if she got it. Ok, so last night she tells me her friend is feeling sad and she s getting a tattoo and that she doesn t want to leave her alone so she wants to get a tattoo as well. I don t know how to deal with this. I am not happy with her getting another tattoo, that s just how I feel. On the other hand, I don t want to be a controlling spouse. Because I do put myself in her situation, if it was me wanting to get one is probably get it too. Ughhhh. Help me.

  • Tattoo ideas to cover up a large spinal surgery scar?

Best answer: A vine or a Yggdrasil tree of life motif would be symbolic and meaningful. Your spine is like the tree of life for your body, the trunk is similar to the spinal column and the branches are the nerves that run out from the spine.

Also, is it rude to ask him to modify a couple of sections (it would entail turning a skinny tree into a simple spruce)? I don’t regret what I got so please don’t get me wrong, I just want it centered and consistent. I’ve gotten a few pieces by him, and would defenitely pay for his time. What do you think?
