Best answer: There are a few concerns in making this important decision.

#1.The house need cosmetic repairs. Would these repairs increase the value of the house where you would be in a position of selling it for more than you paid for it?

#2. Is the neighborhood in a decline or on an upswing?

#3. How long would you agree to stay there before selling it and upgrading to another house?

#4. Would you be able to keep the house as rental when you decide to move? You would need to be qualified to purchase another house with this mortgage loan being on your credit report? If you are able to do so it would be to your advantage as you would now be working toward your retirement.

In this instance there is no right or wrong. You are making a decision about your future and how you wantto go about it.

This is a situation between you and your husband. There should be no one else involved to include parents,
uncle aunts and other family members. The other part of this marriage partnership would feel as if they were
being beaten up on and confidential family matters are not so confident any longer.

You and you husband are no adversaries. You are making a good choice for the family. Present your side and allow your husband to present his side. Once this has happened, you and your husband would make a decison based on hat is good for you and your husband.

Both of you should be open minded about this situation.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.
