  • 2019 tax return?

Best answer: The IRS is not processing returns until Jan. 28. H&R may have accepted your return, but it hasn't been filed with the IRS yet. Don't even bother checking again until at least Jan. 30. They'll be bombarded with returns and it will take several days for the status to be posted.

They are asking for him to pay for the previous 4 years he has not paid his taxes for a total of a little over $36,000 The only problem is he does not have the funds available at the moment. He's asked me if I could pay the bill for him and he'll pay me back, but my question is; If the bill is paid, will that be the last of it? Will the IRS come back asking more? I have money in my savings account that I can use to pay it off, but I just need to know if the IRS will consider it paid and not coming back for more money. He's said that he ran into an emergency a few years ago and he's been playing catch up. I understand things happen. We have been together for 6 months so I know him pretty well to know that he will pay me back.

  • Do I need W9 if the job was no more than $600 a month?

Employer that I had work few months ago (job was complete) asking me to fill out w9. It was less than $600 a month for couple month. Do I still need to report this income and I would had charge him higher rate if this was taxable.

Do I need to file a 1099 or should I file my side business at all. I did work a regular full time job as well all 12 months while making merchandise. This was my first year with my business and it turned out great I’m just confused with filing taxes if I should leave it out or not.

My total income...fed, social security and medicare withholding and my employers federal tax id number and my state doesn't charge tax. I have been working there for years so...I know they aren't accepting them until the 28th but I'm going on a trip for 2 months and just want to get this done and out the way so I can enjoy my vaca...plus I won't be home to receive the w2 anyway. I checked my stub from last year and my w2 and they match up. I don't see why this year would be any different.

Hello, need some help with the Taxes from working in 2018. I worked for Uber as a weekend thing and then I had a normal working job for the first 7 months of the year. I quit my normal job just to do Uber until the very beginning of December and then I got another normal job. Just need help with how I should go around the detections. I have rough starting miles and ending miles of my car for the first of the year to Jan 1 2019. I drove my car roughly 32,000 miles this year with Uber and normal jobs. I made $8,353.29 with Uber and they sent me a 1099 form and it shows I drove 9,310.71 miles while on there app are these miles detectable? If I’m not a math wiz but let me know...54.5 cents per mile = $5,027.78 worth of detections. I didn’t calculate gas or other expenses because I didn’t think of it at the time...sooo what do I do. I’ve never done my taxes and have no idea what to do.

I'm discovering that I'm getting killed with tax as my account is beginning to work on my tax return 2018. I'll definitely consider increasing my employer-based retirement contribution, but what is your wisdom on letting your bank withhold fed and state income taxes on interest earnings on your banks accounts? Doing so would decrease my interest earning (in 2018 I earned over 6K in interest alone in savings without investing), but should help me in avoiding tax bombs and underpayment penalties.
