  • Are white and black colors?

Best answer: No, if by 'colour' we mean the optical effect of a specific light frequency (e.g. we see 650 nm wavelengths as red and 540 nm wavelengths as green). Black is the absence of any light at all, and white is the optical effect of a roughly equal mixture of all the visible wavelengths. Hence it is impossible to make either a black or a white laser. Lasers emit only one wavelength, so they can emit any true colour but cannot emit white, which is a mixture of wavelengths, or black as that is the absence of any.

(So-called 'blacklights' actually emit ultra-violet, not black, light).

Best answer: Author and film historian Tim Dirks described the “Photo-Drama” as the first major screenplay which incorporated synchronized sound (recorded speech), moving film, and magic lantern color slides.

Films that preceded the “Photo-Drama” had used some of these techniques but not all of them in one presentation, especially one with a Bible theme. And none had a greater audience totaling some nine million in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand during the first year alone!

The “Photo-Drama” premiered on January 11, 1914, in New York City.

It encompassed the total picture from the creation of the stars to the glorious climax of Christ’s Thousand Year Reign.

With precision timing, trained operators coordinated the presentation of two miles of film, 26 phonograph records, and some 500 glass slides

Twenty individual “Photo-Drama” sets were used by teams throughout North America

audiences packed out theaters to view the “Photo-Drama” free of charge. In the United States, up to 80 cities each day hosted the “Photo-Drama.” Many amazed viewers were seeing their first talking movie. Time-lapse photography enabled them to watch a chick peck its way out of its shell and a blossom gracefully unfold.

The eight-hour “Photo-Drama” presentation, usually shown in four parts, featured 96 brief recorded Bible lectures narrated by a well-known speaker with one of the most recognizable voices of that era. Classical music accompanied many scenes. Skilled operators played the voice and music recordings on phonographs, synchronizing the sound with color slides and film reenactments of famous Bible stories.

  • I sell t-shirts that feature my own art designs. The designs are abstract paintings of different subjects. How to create a brand?

In other words, how to create a SPECIFIC brand based on artwork of different characters, subjects and art styles? How to pinpoint a specific brand theme, image and message from this? My t-shirt designs consist of cubist and surreal type work. Most of my designs speak to world corruption, but not all.

So I have a short movie due for my film class and we all agreed to have a scene where a girl turns invisible. (One of the requirements is that we need to use 'impressive' visual effects) We believe turning the girl invisible and making her clothes stay (and move) is impressive enough. We are having quite some trouble though. How do we do that? The closest I've been is create a static invisible woman shot but this is completely CG and because I created this all in a basic program (SketchUp) it's really hard to make the girl move around (by really hard I mean impossible). What we're looking for is an effect like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4m3sfcw... at 0:06 until 0:10 Notice how her arms are still there and they're moving. This indicates that they shot the original and used some CG to replace her head and recreate(?) the background. The reason why I put a '?' after recreate is because I assume they do that. I doubt that they make two shots in order for the background to be the same. That being said, what puzzles me is that they lighting will take a lot of time to work and look good and on top of all that, what program do I use to achieve this effect and more importantly, HOW do I achieve this effect. Please give me more than 1 suggestion, as we want as many suggestions as possible. Thank you in advance.
