• When should I bring my pet cat inside. How cold does it have to get?

I have an outdoor cat, and I prefer that he stay outdoors, but I worry about him during the winter time. How cold of a temperature can a cat withstand?

  • Will you still get rabies if bit by a indoor cat who was really never gone outside?

So we have a pet cat who is unvaccinated, but she always stay indoors, will there still be a big possibility that she have rabies? And by the way, no wild animals have broke into our house that she possibly had a fight with.

My husband and I adopted an older cat in August. He has adjusted so well and loves to spend time with us. I currently feed him when I wake up for work which is around 7:30 am and when I come home from work which is around 6:30 pm. I feed him a whole can of fancy feast "Gravy lovers" and he cleans the plate every time. He also has dry food, the pet smart brand called authority to nibble on throughout the day and night.(I do come home for lunch and he gets a treat snack) He also gets fresh filtered water. He cries so hard between 4am-6am to be fed again. He doesn't want to play I've woken up to see if that's what he wanted, he wants to be fed. The neighbors have complained because he meows so loud. Do you have any advice? Should I feed him a third can of wet food right before I go to sleep? I'm open to all suggestions. BTW he's a 3 yr old Tabby. Thank you!

  • Do you allow your cat to move freely through your home?

Mine does, he just goes where he wants, he's taken to sleeping in the kitchen lately, he likes to curl up on the drainboard, he's a weird cat, but it's cute. He's bascially allowed everywhere in my house apart from going outside, of course. He's free to jump up on the sofa and the bed, chairs, anywhere he can get to, even the worktop. But I know some people are stupidly restrictive when it comes to where a cat can go. I own my cat, I am his caretaker, we have a pretty sweet deal, I give him food and medical attention and he gives me a friend. (I'm not social, I don't have many human friends, I have like one human friend, the rest are animals, I keep rescue chickens)

  • How do you get rid of fleas?

I can see loads of fleas crawling around my kitten. I have tried collars and it has not worked. I do not want to put any drops of anything on there because I have heard it's not safe for humans to breathe in. What can I do to get rid of them?

  • I have terrible guilt?

Best answer: I'm sorry, that's awful. You apologized and that's all you really can do. You're neighbors should have kept their cat inside where it was safe from cars, so the blame really lands on them. Check under your car before you back out to avoid future accidents.

If they are just neighbors, people I'm friendly with but not super close with, then something like $5 a day, because you will still be in there frequently to play with and care for the cats.

He'll be very tired when he comes back in, sometimes panting. He is 8 months old. Today, Monday night, he is still not back. I have left out lost cat flyers, and went door to door leaving little cards asking everyone to check their yards. He's only been out once over night before, but only one night. He has never been out this long and I'm very worried. I left his litter box outside with an old t-shirt and some food. Does anyone have any advice on what else I should do? I'm worried sick and I miss him like crazy

When he was a kitten I would put him in this little t shirt which he did not seem to mind at all and I always take it off at night time. Now that he's older I dress him in sweaters and different things as it's freezing where we live and he really doesn't react at all to having the clothes on. He looks adorable but I don't want to dress him if he hates it I just really don't see any signs that he does. He purrs and runs around and plays as normal and he even sort of helps me to put his clothes on by lifting his paws. He's an indoor cat and when we have company people always comment on how he probably hates wearing clothing. Let me know what you think!
