I am developing in app for a company to navigate multiple office parks. The app would be on windows or android tablets. The goal is for it to have a database showing who is in which office space. These can constantly be changing so it has to be updated remotely. Some tablets might share the same listings. We would prefer no server hosting, an embedded database with remote access would be best. My question is, what database system would work best. SQLite is embedded but cannot be accessed remotely. We have worked with door entry systems (Such as ones made by DoorKing or Linear) where the box is screwed in, the network is configured, and it is accessed to the IP/Port remotely. Any advice on which database would be best would be appreciated.

They shut down an Ai system that was communicating with another Ai because they made their own language. Now for example what IF this Ai system created a key to communicate in the internet with other Ai's in the internet. I mean can you imagine an Ai that has access to data of everyone that uses the internet and encrypts the information to communicate among multiple Ai's and they have access to everything humans know? Is it possible to do this in secret until gained enough knowledge to expand with drones in the real world? This seems very possible to me, with how open it is to everyone. If we can interact in Virtual Reality, Ai can and will interact in the real world gaining control through encryption and having the capacity to compute faster than a human is able to, controlling real world objects if not us. Or just science fiction like cell phones are just magic.

    https://developers.google.com/v8/

One can write an interpreter for any programming language, using almost any programming language - some languages are too cumbersome to program with. It's even possible to write a compiler/interpreter of a language in itself! One example is PyPy:
    http://pypy.org/

Use the language you are most comfortable with. If the interpreter of the language you plan turns out to be too slow, you can write a compiler instead (generating either machine code or other language's code) or reimplement the interpreter in a faster language (like C or C++).

    By the way, please read:

Just getting the idea of sequencing instructions to get the right thing done at the right time is general challenge in programming. Every programming language has its own wrinkles, too.

If you're new to programming, try to do as much coding as you do reading. When you learn something new, write your own code to test out that idea. Start with examples in the book, Try changing things and see if you get the expected result. Oh, and type in the examples by hand; don't copy-paste from a CD or website. Really.

Another idea is to get another voice to listen to. Don't lose your place in that Duckett book, but you might want to check out videos at Khan Academy, which uses JavaScript as the language to teach basic programming concepts. (They use a different JS library in their lessons; ProcessingJS rather than JQuery, but it's the JS you want to learn right now.)

  • How are people able to decode messages with random letters?

I just do not understand it. If I made a code like this erdgmrkdlgmrglkmrdglrmeglk , how would one go about deciphering it? It could literally mean anything. Put that code I just put in a decoder. How would it figure out what I was saying?
