In my personal experience, you'll need a few years of experience to be able to work totally independent and do work as a freelancer. Freelancers usually have a field of experience they know well.

That having said, there are easier coding jobs you can do pretty quickly, like coding static pages (websites that just present text and images, but have not a lot of functionality), with or without platforms like Wordpress.

It also depends how much of an autodidact you are. Most people need some kind of framework to learn stuff, but if you learn well by yourself online, you could teach yourself more complicated programming while starting with making static pages to earn a living.

All in all, I'd count on a minimum of two years of work experience before you are free to go.

The correct definition is: It's a part of the World Wide Web that is only accessible by means of special software, allowing users and website operators to remain anonymous or untraceable. Is it scary? I guess it depends on if you're easily frightened or your age. Take clowns for example some people like them others are frightened by them. Is sad Satan scary? I don't even know how to answer that. I guess probably as scary as a angry Jesus. As for the rest of your questions just go to http://bfy.tw/E0Kj and all your answers will be revealed

Best answer: I guess there aren't any programming languages that really nobody uses anymore.

Some old assembly languages are tempting answer. But, for example, Z-80, that I share with husoski, is still used, since Z-80 is still sold as a micro-controller.

Almost all languages have some still existing code requiring maintenance somewhere.

You would probably consider Cobol a dead language, for example. Yet, my country only started this year a project to reprogram the ID card management framework in another language. So, taking into account the usual speed of administration, I guess Cobol will still be the language of our ID card framework till at least 2027

As far as I am concerned, declining languages that I am "proficient" (or at least once was) in are:

Z80 (I've use it in 2016, to play with by Osborne-1),
    6502 (long time ago, for a vic-20)
    Pascal, and Modula-2
BASIC (but I've used variants in 2017 for customers)
    Algol 60
Fortran (still use it from times to times, for maintenance of code for customers)
    ADA
Scheme (still my favorite language - I wrote one interpreter, that is still used by a some researcher around the world). But unfortunately, I do not have many opportunities to use it in my current job.

But here, I've listed what probably lot of people would consider "old languages that almost nobody use". In reality, almost none of them deserve such a classification. Sure, there are all less used than they used to be. Nevertheless, most of them have a solid niche, that will not disappear in near future.
Even Fortran is often said to be "obsolete". Yet it will certainly not disappear in my life time. I know lot of researcher younger than I am that use it as their main programming language (eg in oceanography).
BASIC dialect is still used in modern applications (the interpreter with probably the most complete API on android is a BASIC interpreter!)
Scheme is not even dying. Less popular than it was, sure. But still a must in some domain (IA, obviously. But also for GIMP scripts, for example)
ADA, although declining even in its own niche (military or space application) has a solid user base in its niche.

It that list, Modula-2, Algol 60 and 6502 are probably the only languages that are really dying. But even those won't be totally forgotten before a long time. As long as there are some geeks playing with old Atari-2600, Vic-20, or even Tamagochi, there will be some code written in 6502

And I don't really know who is using Modula-2 and Algol 60, but since there are some compiler, still maintained, for both those language, I guess that there are some users.

Best answer: I have met a couple of computer programmers. You would have to learn how to socialize with other people to be able to find who you are looking, for. I think it would be better if you found people who already know computer programming.

Some Colleges, and Universities might have computer programmers, so maybe you can contact schools to inquire if they have any computer programmer graduates.

If you hire people, and you don't pay them, then you would be looking, for volunteers, but first you will need to have your own company. Because if you don't have one, then I think nobody will agree to work, for you. Volunteers can't share the income with you. Their job is to help you as much as they can, and they can get working experience by giving their time to to volunteer, for your company. In addition, volunteers should get an opportunity to learn something from the company that they are working, for, and once they decide to stop volunteering, then you could give then a reference.

Lastly volunteers are not treated the same as employees. Volunteers are normally treated more lenient than employees.
