  • Do vinyl records get damaged the more I play them ?

    Best answer: Yes,
but with a high quality stylus,
properly mounted and with the pressure set to a good value,
the wear will be so little as to be of no consequence.

Given good care, most records will last through hundreds of plays without noticeable deterioration.

I tried to clean it every way possible but it didnt work. I came across someone selling it on Ebay so I bought it, and it also doesn t work. Every other I record I own works perfectly fine. I contacted the guy who sold it to me and he said it worked just fine for him. I have a Studebaker player, so I was wondering if the needle isnt right for that record, or if anyone else has had a problem or new how to fix it.
