Or would it be safer to hide it in my suitcase that won't be my carry on.

  • Can airport security detect alcohol in checked luggage if it s in a different bottle?

Best answer: I am assuming you are departing from the U.S. This is less of a security as opposed to a customs one. TSA officers couldn't care less if you transport liquor within or from the U.S. However, evident tampering (i.e. foreign fluids not in their original containers) will garner further scrutiny. (May I recommend that you do not create more work for us.)

As for the customs at your destination country, they have similar x-ray machines to those that TSA uses. There is a high probability they may scrutinize your items just the same.

The recommendation is to save your money and don't bother trying to smuggle anything. It is not worth it.

  • How to get live fish through airport without being affected by the security scanner?

I do not have much access to different types of fish, and the only way is via planes. The problem is as all bags, and all things get scanned the fish will be affected by the scanner ray and won't live very long. What is the way to prevent the effect of the security scanner and get the fish through?

Baring in mind, if it was next year, I would be 18, so therefore considered as an adult. Also another sidenote, I d be travelling from the UK, so quite a far distance away from home. Overall, it would be the furthest I ve gone from home, as I ve never gone outside of Europe. The times I have been abroad is with my parents and siblings, but I just have the urge to want to travel and somewhat do it independently. But I m not sure if I m scared of the concept of being so far from home, and being alone. Baring in mind, I m taking a gap year, so I m not going to university next year, so I would really like to travel somewhere.

  • Traveling to 3 areas in Europe and was wondering if I needed different electrical plug adapters for each places besides a voltage converter?

Best answer: You can easily google images of the plugs in each country. You will need different adaptors- France uses two round prongs, while the UK has three. There are kits that contain all the adapters. As for converters, you don't need them for electronics like your laptop and phone. They are all dual voltage. If you... show more

As for converters, you don't need them for electronics like your laptop and phone. They are all dual voltage. If you want to use something like a hair dryer or straightener, you will need an adapter, although it's iffy even with one. You're better off buying a dual voltage one there- or just not worrying about your hair.

  • Question about traveling!?

So I'm looking on Groupon and it says $800 per person, twin share for 7 nights. But then it says, price is per person, based on twin share (two people traveling together) so does that mean $800 for two people? Also any travel advice you have for beginners, thank you!

  • What does "€29.76 in local taxes and/or charges will be collected at the hotel in the hotels local currency" mean im planning a holiday on?

Best answer: As with Jackie. Here in San Francisco they call it a hotel tax, which is basically a tourist tax. It needs to be paid to the hotel, not the agency.

The problem is that we both have bad backs. I was injured in a car accident and my husband in a sports accident. Anyway, we can't lift heavy boxes. I was thinking maybe some kind of cart or wagon might work. We could pack them ok but I don't know how to get them off of the cart so we can pack more boxes. Would some kind of hand truck work? Please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We need to save as much money as possible so we have funds for a nursing home when we are much older or to pay for living expenses if the stock market crashes and social security goes away. In this world, it's difficult to have any idea what the future outlook is. Thank you for your help.
