I am looking into employment for Japan but I keep hearing all these bad things about employment. For starters a lot of individuals say the salary is bad, I heard the English Teachers make about 1500-2000 per month. I've also heard you're not really respected instead treated like a monkey who teaches English. As well not being able to witness all the things you want to see and buy due to pay rate and none existent promotion. I feel like only 1/10 foreigners will get to experience the wonders Japan has to offer while the rest work like slaves. I also feel like the ones that do make it choose to not talk the issue others foreigners are having unlless it hits there pockets. Could anyone give me tips on whether I should go or not. I'm finishing up my degre and plan on visiting before seeking employment. Thank you

  • Agree or disagree: The US is a better country than China?

Best answer: lack of environmental standards have been making China an increasingly polluted country to the degree where health of its citizens in urban areas is really affected.

The US has much better environmental standards, but since those are currently dismantled, it might end up polluted like China.

My sister and I are traveling to Japan this summer and I have a couple concerns! Mainly, we're flying into Haneda airport and staying in the Harajuku/Shibuya area - Do we need to purchase a subway pass to get to and from? I figured once we're in the area we could walk rather than take a train anywhere but I was wondering if I need a pass to leave the airport or if I could purchase a quick, temporary, one way ticket? Also, while I'm trying my best to learn Japanese I'm still not the best! Is it hard for English speakers to navigate Tokyo? Finally, another concern when leaving the airport is finding our hotel! I plan on googling the address and writing down directions since I'm sure there is no WiFi. I know we can get pocket Wi-Fi at the airport but our hotel includes it as well. Would it be best to purchase the Wi-Fi at the airport just to get to the hotel or can we make due? I know, a lot of questions but I have first time out of the country jitters! Any tips or answers are appreciated! Thank you!! :)
