I lived in an era where there was no social media and gaming consisted of cards or board games. There was simply less things to occupy people's time so they had more time to socialize as friends. Back then most activities were social activities where you had to get together to play tennis or go bowling. People spent more time outdoors because there was not as much to keep them inside. I find myself caught up in this where I rather stay home and game or watch youtube than go out and socialize with friends or family in person.

I want to believe. I've grown up in a not super religious family. My parents are both Catholic but have never taken us to church. I'm not sure why but I'm sure it has something to do with accusation and the cases of molestation a while back that are still surfacing. I'm going on 16 soon and I'm not very religiously educated. I have always just accepted that I believe in god. I only recently started thinking a lot about it and I'm very confused. How can I know which religion is right? What I mean by that is that if I was grown and raised in a strict Islamic family, I would worship the religion of Islam. Just as if I was born in a strict Christian family I would strictly worship Christianity. How can some people just be so sure? I really want to believe but I can't help but have these thoughts. It also confuses me how different branches of certain religions go against each other. If they all worship the same god shouldn't they be kind to each other? Isn't that the point of religion in the first place? Please no hate I just want to know.

Fear, fear of death, fear of Hell , fear of God, fear of sinning is ingrained like a scar.... Theists are too afraid not to believe in their superstitious nonsense. Denial is their only refuge. Delusions give them comfort.

We, the human animals, are all afraid of death. It’s a built in survival mechanisms. All biological life struggles to stay alive. Animals and vegetables both. Only we Humans have the ability to consider death, "Existential Anxiety" is the medical term.

Religion takes advantage of this natural fear of death and sells us a cure for this survival mechanism like the Carrot-on-a-stick. It’s called “The After Life". And they give us a “choice” of an eternal Heaven, Or they escalate the fear by adding the worse-than-death threat of Hell, eternal torture and pain.
The attempts to bring people to God are based on the fear of death that gets escalated by the threat of eternal Hell.

Best answer: If he really created the universe, silly, then he's older than the universe. I'd say he's at least 13.5 billion years old.

  • What's the point in gay marriage?

Homosexual men cannot form any meaningful relationships with one another. I'm gay and I have never had a meaningful friendship with another homosexual male. It's always been purely sexual. Most "married" gay couples tend to have open relationships anyways.
