I forgot to mention that I've been taking 900 mg of clindamycim a day since yesterday because my doctor said I might have an infection which is causing the pain.

Best answer: No, they're considered nurse practitioners. It's becoming a little confusing, though, since NP's have traditionally had a master's level degree, and now (some places more than others) they're moving to a doctorate in nursing. That's still not at the same level of education and training of an MD or DO, but the gap is beginning to close some, and a doctorate is a doctorate, so long as you keep in mind which is which.

I had considered going through a Phlebotomy program in the past (for clinical experience) but could not because I did not have enough immunity to Hepatitis B. I went for a routine blood test one day and a girl approached, saying she was a student and asked if I would be alright with her drawing my blood. I was definitely alright with it, thinking that I might be in her position someday and would have other students practicing on me. It seemed to last 10-15 minutes. I sat and watched - blood was not coming out into the tube or was dripping at a slow pace. At one point, she had the syringe/needle hanging out of my arm as she grabbed something. She basically was having a lot of trouble. I felt ok during the process but gradually toward the end and particularly after walking away, I felt immensely faint. I was alone. I went and sat down in the waiting room for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, though I did not feel better, I got up and walked out to my car where I laid with the seat back for an additional 30 minutes before feeling normal enough to drive off. I've had blood tests taken by professionals since and never felt faint. Each lasted just a couple minutes. I did not look at the vial as they did it - not sure if that's what did it last time. I have been thinking to go back to the course but worry now that I won't be able to handle it. I'm not bothered by the sight of my own blood (have had huge nosebleed clots). Was it mental? Or could she have done something wrong?

So I got prescribed a medicine called Minocycline to take for some acne I have. My acne isnt particularly horrible but recently i really wanted to get rid of it. I got prescribed the antibiotic as well as some face creams to help me. Ive started taking the antibiotic, but now since reading about it online as well as some reviews, it seems that the side effects can be even worse than the acne that I have now. I also had mano as a kid, and when I told my mom that I started taking this medication and that the prescription is for 30 day, she kinda freaked out saying that this could cause more problems down the road if I take them for that long that could cause damage to my kidneys. I obviously don't want my acne to get worse, but how bad would it be if I stop taking this medication? Also 30 days does seem very extreme to me since the longest ive ever taken antibiotics was a few days when i was sick with cold like symptoms. Maybe since this is an antibiotic would it maybe be smart to take a little longer then stopping now? I know a lot of people say that its best to stay with the prescribed medicine, but looking at info about this stuff it looks like they sometimes use this to treat stds like ganno and the clap, for which the prescription is only 7 days.

  • Why have health insurance , when you never would go to a doctor and never take drugs/medication?

Best answer: Fine, it sounds like you are willing to die at home. And you can't get health insurance AFTER you get hit by a car, or after your appendix bursts.
