Best answer: At age 14, you should be getting close to the age where a spanking is probably going to be inappropriate. And quite frankly useless. I was spanked as a child, but only until I reached my teens. After that point, physical pain was no longer the trauma it once was. My father realized quickly that it was much more effective to take away something I wanted as punishment. So if I disobeyed or got sassy, perhaps I spent the day in my room. When I did not take care of my bike and left it out where it was rained on or could have been stolen, I lost access to it for two weeks. That sort of thing.

It certainly sounds like going to stay with your aunt is the better option, mainly because she actually wants you there, seems to love you, and you feel you'd like it better. Your dad will always be your dad through blood, but like you said, if he has not really been in your life and chose not to be there for you (did he see you or call you on birthdays, Christmas, that sort of thing?), then it's possible you'll fee like the ugly duckling, where he has his family and you are just "living there" until you become an adult, when you can decide to move out on your own.

Your aunt seems like a reasonable person, and you even said "spanking as a last resort". So I'd say don't push her to the point that she would result in corporal punishment and you'll never have to deal with that. And remember, either way you choose, once you turn 18 you could try to get a job and move out on your own. And trust me that those four years will generally fly right by.

I use the same laundry products (which includes a fabric softener) but I have never used any drier products. This is only the bath towels, it does not happen with the kitchen towels. What causes this??? They are good quality towels.

Keeping the rooms shaded from the sun helps . Plus we cook outside or at least do,not boil water or use the oven. Barbecueing outside as much as possible
The lights are not a issue . They use little hydro.
The wiring is not a issue .

  • Are the mushrooms that grow in your lawn safe for dogs to eat?

Best answer: No. Dogs shouldn't eat mushrooms at all. Besides those things in your lawn are probably toad stools that are poisonous.

It also looks like since then they've started digging up a big plant I've got in the living room too. It is NOT due to the litter box being dirty, as far as I can tell they're not using the plants as a bathroom.

My mother is a 36 year old, weighing a good 250 lbs and has serious water retention in her legs among other things that are making it difficult for her to walk. We bought the house we live in way before these problems arrised. As soon as we walk in the door, there is a small nine by nine foot of flat surface before being met with two stair cases: one that leads down to the basement and the other that leads up to the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms. My mom has to be helped in and out of bed, uses a cane to get up a curb or out of a parking lot (because the doctor won t give her a handicapped ticket for closer spaces) to get to stores, and can t help with anything around the house because she simply doesn t have the strength. She has a panic button now and can t even drive. Above all of this and more, her room is upstairs. My brother and I - who also live here - have been doing what we can, but we don t know how to get her up the stairs. She s been pushing through it so far and recently has taken to going up backwards by sitting on the steps. My brother lifts her by her belt loops while i move her feet up each step. We also dont have any money and are currently renting from our grandparents for $400 a month. So getting a new house is out of the question right now. I m looking into stairlifts, but the kind we d need for our stairs is close to $1000 which is four months of my paycheck. And I seriously doubt she can last another four months of those stairs. Any ideas? Please?

It was just me so I placed a jumbo wax ring on the flange, then placed the toilet down on the bolts, It lined up perfect, then I applied pressure. using it multiple times and so far so good. I'm just wondering in my mind though since I did not put the wax ring on the toilet first and I couldn't really see anything but the bolts lining up, then will it be good? How would I know if there was a small leak around the wax ring? It is a tile floor and I checked underneath and didn't see any signs of water but I'm figuring the wax is so thick it shouldn't be an issue I just wish I could see underneath so I can line the whole up perfectly but all I did was line it up with the bolts like the video said to do

okay first of all.. Dont tell me that I shouldnt sneak out. I am aware that I shouldnt. If you are, however, willing to give advice.. My house has an adt alarm system with door sensors.. I had an exit for a while but the system rebooted and the window beeps again. My brother is a bit older, so my mom shouldnt notice if the door beeps, because he gets home late some times. However, my mom sleeps on the first floor couch due to a foot problem she has. It is in the middle of two rooms. She sleeps with the tv on, and normally snores loudly, so im not worried about waking her, but how do you suggest me getting out? By the way we had the tree next to my window chopped down, and theres no way to get back on top of the low rising roof.
