• My boyfriend won't pay for my gym membership?

    I really want to lose weight and I made plans to go to LA Fitness gym, but my boyfriend refused to pay for my membership. He claimed a gym wasn't necessary to lose weight. He happens to a boxer and he claimed he wouldn't pay, no matter how much I demanded. I didn't find out, until this morning, but he made a full packet last night, anticipating workouts and basically, typed out a regimen of exercises to do at home. The whole program is purely calisthenics and running. For each of the days, he also placed down the foods he was willing to cook for me. He said accepting it was entirely my call, but that he would support any decision I made, but I want to go to the gym! Why can't he just pay?

    and it clearly sounds to me you urgently! need the professional help / advise of a nutritionist , in real life, in your area, someone skilled in treating people of your age....
    and I also think your Family Doctor there - and, of course - your parents/ closest available family , first- are to immediately be fully aware of what you're going through in every way, including- if so, any possible soul issue of any kind....
    a problem/s with one's inner body immage may be the mainstay / outset of some potentially dangerous eating disorder....
    and this may have to prompt higly- qualified medical help - in real life....
    NO reason to neglect- whatsoever....
    that's why I am hereby humbly thankful to you and proud of your guts to reach for help- at least this way....
    yet normal, sound, effective, viable, working medical solutions are to rapidly be sought in real life, in your area...DO IT!

Signs:I'm always very cold, I'm afraid of gaining weight, I think of myself as a fat person, even though I know that I'm truly underweight and I exercise to burn fat. 2 days ago I had a tic(type of seizure that are ''popular'' with anorexics, but I'm not sure if it really was a tic. I've been eating 800-1000 calories daily, but then i binged for 4 days and ate approximately 2000-2500, now I've been eating very few calories. I just don't know what to do. I don't want to binge anymore, 'cause I'll feel guilty. I don't want to throw up anymore, I cannot imagine myself doing this.

So since 2 year ago I started eating a lot of nuggets and fries and drinking soda everyday (I weighed 129lbs - 132lbs before that) I didn't realize it but I was slowly gaining weight. I even had to buy new school uniforms. I've started exercising and have stopped eating those things and others, but I find it really hard to stay motivated. Sometimes I see myself and I just get so depressed by how I look. And sometimes I just think my bf doesn't think I'm attractive anymore (because I was smaller when we started dating) even though he said he still thinks so. He also gained some weight too and is exercising and tries to motivate me too but I still get frustrated when having to exercise as none of the females in my family are slim as adults but were slim when they were my age (18). I just fear I'll never be able to lose the weight and be even fatter when I get older. So I just wanna know how you guys keep yourself motivated. Also how you balance dieting and exercising while going to school.

    I am a 25 year old male. I'm 6'5" and weigh 263 pounds currently. My plan is to workout 5 days a week rotating muscle groups and finishing off my workout with 20 minutes HIIT on the treadmill. The confusing part for me is how many calories to consume. I've read that it should be under 2000 to lose weight but then I've also seen that based on my size, I will need more. So right now I am looking at a diet of about 2,200 calories a day. My meals consist of a protein shake in the morning mixed with egg whites, fruit, spinach and oats. Lunch is ground turkey with a little bit of taco sauce, olive oil mayo and shredded cheese then dinner is a piece of salmon with jasmine rice and broccoli. For a snack I was going to do a greek yogurt and a protein shake. Is that too many calories or can I lose weight with this plan?
