• Wisdom Teeth surgery anxiety?

I gotta get my wisdom teeth out and I suffer from depression and anxiety, I'm awfully uncomfortable about the idea of being "put asleep" and that's what's freaking me out most, and then if anyone could give me any advice on the recovery process and what the overall experience was like for you... show more

I hope they put me under.

Not purposefully, just because I was always so distracted by feeling sick. I broke a piece of my molar off months ago and my teeth are starting to decay/have small holes. I m so embarrassed and have been hesitant to go to the dentist because I m so ashamed. What do I do 😭

  • I am getting my wisdom teeth removed over spring break. Should I be sedated or not?

I know that if you are sedated, you are asleep and feel nothing. If you aren’t sedated, you are numbed, but you are awake the whole time. Which one is recommended? Also, for people who have had theirs removed, what was your recovery experience?

  • Why did I have to put this thing into my anus before getting my wisdom teeth removed?

I remember when I had my wisdom teeth removed at 21 I had to put some plastic thing into my anus. I wonder what it was about.

I'm almost 23. They're not impacted but they did already move my teeth a bit. They don't really bother me honestly. I've had to go on antibiotics because they have a small amount of gum still over them which got gunk stuck underneath and caused an infection. That was 1.5 years ago and I haven't had an issue since then, except they all have cavities on them. 2 dentists have told me to take them out to avoid decay of my other teeth but I pay more attention when brushing now. They said they are hard to clean and useless and I want bottom braces, which they said is another reason to remove them. They never said they were impacted, just that I don't need them and I might as well take them out. Couldn't I just get them filled and leave them? Genetically, my teeth aren't horrible but not the best. I have a back molar I had a root canal on at 19 and a crown on a front tooth from my brother breaking it, so having less teeth makes me nervous. Idk?!?!?!?!?!? :(

  • I need braces but?

It's way too expensive to get, but I really need them. Are there ways to get it for a lower price? I really need them.

  • A friend told me your getting brain damage at the cost of clean teeth, does this make any sense?

Best answer: Not much, although the entire european dental community will tell you that fluoride is beneficial on your teeth, not in your bloodstream. As far as I know, no country in Europe adds fluoride to tap water

Best answer: Yes. Rub some on your gums and then take a shot or four. That should give you some relief for about 3-4 hours.

  • Do you brush and then floss or vice versa? Which is better and why???

Best answer: Floss first, then brush.
If you have anything stuck between your teeth, flossing get those particles out and then you can brush them away.
