It's really stressful to me because it's my first job and I'm scared of taking too much time counting money, packing bags or finding the codes for the vegetables that don't have any tags... Also, the store that I work at has very few employees so most of the time, there will only be 2 or 3 cashiers so in peak hours, it's a total disaster! Sometimes, even customer service associates have to leave customer service so they can open a cash register! So, should I quit? It's my first job and I've only been there for less than a week... But it gives me so much anxiety!

I am furious/ sad, I have worked at my company for 2 years and have experience helping with the training new hire class and much more experience then her. However, she was picked! I’m meeting with the manager next Tuesday to discuss my opportunities on what I could have done “better”. The reason I am bothered is because my friend said she did not even what this position, she only applied for the interview experience. She has worked for the company for 6 months and asked me for ideas how better herself. What should I do? I told her congratulations, but I am pissed. She hasn’t responded or tried reaching out saying she is sorry.

  • What do employers look for in a background check?

I was going to talk to a supervisor about the situation but my close friend told me to leave it alone, because if I tell the supervisor then the supervisor is gonna begin to investigate. What should I doo about this situation?????? Me and the costumer were talking for 20 minutes and I said " shes cute" that's all !!!!!!!

I'm leaving my job due to anxiety, stress, and depression. We used to have two people doing my job, but for the past 1.5 years I've been doing double (sometimes triple) the work. I've been with the company almost 3 years and I've been so completely miserable that I honestly would rather kill myself than continue working here. At the moment, I'm in a dilemma of when I should tell them and how. I was planning on Monday, July 2nd, but I just found out that both of my bosses are going to be out of town for a conference. The company is so small that they're the only ones I would report to. I need my last day to be July 11th because my family is coming to town to visit until the end of the month. My boss never got back to me on the approval of the dates I originally requested off, but I just want to be gone by then. I want to give them at least a little notice because I'm the only one at the company that can do my job. I'm afraid if I tell them sooner they won't accept my notice and I don't want to run into issues getting my paycheck on the 29th. This company has always been kinda sketchy. Should I plan on my original date and tell them in an email? Or risk telling them early? Or any other suggestions?

  • Can i get laid off just because the company is trying to save money?

Best answer: I think the very definition of "lay off" is because a company is trying to cut costs, or because of seasonal work, or the company went bankrupt. You can definitely be laid off if the company wants to cut costs.

  • Slightly confused about the job payment?

Best answer: You left out an important piece of info - how many hours do you plan on working each week. If this is full time, that would be $8 * 40 = $320, expect about 20% to be withheld so you would take home about $250 a week or $500 a pay period. If the hours are going to be 20 a week, expect half, or about $260 every two... show more

He had two different employee badge numbers and each one classified his job title. This was in the 80 s. I m currently employed at King Soopers in the front end and was wondering if employers still did something like this? Would it be possible for me to work in one department under one employee badge number and then clock in under a different badge number for a job in a separate department?
