• Do tow companies charge mileage from time of hook up or from when they leave their yard to the towing location, then final destination?

Fees include a $17.50 dispatch fee $188.25 - hook up fee $60.50 - $$5.50/ mile (11 miles total) I realized only after paying that they charged me for way too many miles. The area they towed my car from is less than 5 minutes away. According to google maps, the drive is only 2.1 miles one way. The route is straight down a highway with very minimal side roads required so there is no way they took a different route. My question is do most tow companies charge mileage from the time the vehicle is hooked up or from when they leave their yard to their towing destination and back? Even then, I know a 4 mile rountrip is nowhere close to the 11 miles they charged me.... I'm just trying to rationalize all these charges. Any insight would be great. Thank you in advancs!

Most traffic lights do not "sense your car" at all - they work on timed intervals.

Some traffic lights use sensors under the road, and will only change if they detect a car is stopped at the intersection. This is typically at a point were a road that carries only light traffic intersects with a road with heaver traffic - the road with the heavy traffic will stay "green" until the sensor on the crossing street detects a car stopped. At that point the light goes through a timed sequence to allow the cross traffic to proceed.

Car choice has a lot to do with the size and comfort of the buyer meshing with the size and comfort of the vehicle. So, a car that would be great for a 5 foot tall woman might well be a very bad choice for a 6 3 man.

As for picking a car before you know how to drive, that is a judgement that you are not yet well equipped to make. Learn to drive, then test drive a Fusion. Once you can do that, you will be in a better position to see if it would be a good car for your specific needs.

And, as you will be a first year driver, have you looked to see what insurance would cost you ? Remember that if you buy the car on payments, one condition of the loan agreement will be keeping FULL insurance on the car for the FULL duration of the car loan.

I had a student parking permit but recently my grades have dropped this grading period and i have my parking permit revoked until next grading period. I dont want to go through the hassle of waking up early to catch the bus every morning till then. If i park in the visitors parking spaces for the next few weeks and switch up the spaces where i park, which are in front of the school but behind the faculty parking, will they notice soon and tow my car or do they usually not pay attention to visitor parking?? My school is a public high school. Or would it be more noticeable if i parked on the side of the school where there are also student lots and parent pick up but in the grass right next to someones parking spot?
