The only thing...and this isn't a criticism, really...is that prior to the Honda I had a BMW 3 series and the road feel of the Honda can't compete. But then, I'm not racing through mountain roads.

So I got home, left my car in drive with the keys in it, and just went in the house. I didn’t turn around at all walking into the house so I didn’t notice the car moving. We stay on a long empty street so the car probably drove itself to nowhere. My boyfriend and me searched everywhere for the car but it’s no where to be found. I’m so stupid. Why did I leave my car in drive? How do I get my car back?

  • If you're in between the two stop signs on a school bus, do you stop if they're deployed?

I have my Learner's Permit. Yesterday, I was driving with my aunt and ended up positioned in such a way that I was in between the front and rear stop signs on a school bus. It's just this particular situation that has me confused.*

Best answer: There are a couple factors. The technology has improved for automatic transmissions to the point that fuel economy and acceleration are better than manual transmissions can not match their performance, even with professional drivers.
Towing and moving heavy loads are even managed better by automatic transmissions, which is why even commercial vehicles are more often equipped with automatic transmissions.
Another thing is the population in the US living in urban/suburban areas now exceeds the number of people living
rural areas with more open roads. The lessened headache of an automatic transmission has pushed demand higher and higher to the point that it is now less expensive to buy a vehicle with an automatic transmission than a manual one.

Other than the thrill/nostalgia of driving a stick, there aren't advantages to owning a manual transmission today.

It doesn't appear that any waiting period is mandatory, but there is some delay of appointment availability. No class is required and no supervisor is needed after you get your license.

Knowledge tests are pretty logical for those that have paid attention as a passenger, difficulty of the road and maneuverability tests depends of the spacial acuity of the person being tested.

  • Why did the US decommissioned route 66?

Why did the US decommissioned route 66?

Best answer: Interstate system. Every year there are car and motorcycle clubs that do a Route 66 run, some of it on the freeway, and some on the old road, where possible. Sounds like fun. When I finish getting my vintage Corvette fixed up enough to where I can trust it, I might join in on one of those runs.
