If I'm less than 50 percent at fault I wouldn't have to pay the $1000. But if I'm over 50 percent then I do. No matter over fault I pay the $500 with the standard coverage. I would essentially be betting on myself to not cause and accident and save me from paying a deductable. But if I do cause the accident with broad form now I pay double instead of if I had chosen standard coverage...what would you do?

  • What’s the safest way to remove engine sludge, oil flush or using a thin grade full synthetic motor oil?

Best answer: Sludge or emulsion on the oil cap indicates coolant leaked into the engine oil. The cause is usually a blown head gasket or warped/cracked cylinder head. You can try flushing with Mechanic's Engine Flush, then change the oil and filter. The sludge will dissolve, the filter will catch particles and the rest will run out the drain hole- not get stuck inside the engine. If the sludge or emulsion does not come back it may have been from condensation. Look in the radiator when the engine is cold. If you see this same kind of sludge the engine needs expensive repair.- I would guess not less than $2000.

  • Car won't start?

Jump starting it didn't work. Gas is full. The radio turns on and so does the ac and the headlights are very dim. And when I lock the car it used to honk the horn but now it's a low unrecognizable sound. Is it the battery or starter or ignition switch?

You obviously have an air pocket in the cooling system even though you filled it. Did you run the motor for 15 minutes as you were topping the coolant up?
Did you take the radiator cap off or just pour coolant in the reservoir tank?
The temperature gauge will not be accurate with an air pocket in the cooling system and you will over heat the motor with out knowing it.
Run the motor for 15 minutes with the radiator cap off and add coolant as the air bubbles come out the radiator neck. Once you do that I'd drive it straight to a mechanic to have the cooling system pressure tested to find the leaks.

I was filling up the windscreen wash and looking under the hood of my car, and I noticed there is hardly any floor at all. Under the engine there is a massive gap which opens it up to the ground. Is this a normal thing for a car? Is it for ventilation? Its the first time I've looked under the hood of any car properly and it looks awfully strange to me, so I'm not sure if its meant to be that way
