Best answer: Depending on the transmission, it could be something simple. The gears are held in place by a rod with notches in it, When you shift gears the rods move the notches over spring loaded detent balls, The balls and springs are usually loaded against rods from the outside of the transmission and the covered with a cap screw. It's not uncommon for the detent springs to break and cause the problem you're having. The detent springs can usually be changed from outside the transmission. Take to a shop that understands this and knows how to check, You may have some luck googling your vehicle with the words "detent springs" included.

So I had a Honda Accord that I leased about 2/12 years ago. I heard this very catchy commercial on the radio about donating cars to charity to get tax deductions, and it really piqued my interest. I decided to go for it, totally forgetting that the car was leased (I had never leased a car before). The charity came to my home last month, I signed some papers and they drove the car away. I had calculated my tax deduction and didn't give it a second thought until I received a letter from the dealer saying my lease was going to expire. I freaked out, but I do not know what to do. Should I try to get the car back (and lose my tax deduction) or should I try reporting the car as stolen and get the insurance money. With the insurance, I should be able to pay off Honda and still have some money left over. Will I get in trouble for this? Please give me some advice. Thanks!

Best answer: Waah, it's not fair. What is this, fourth grade?

The law says you need to insure your car in order to drive it, and so does common sense.

If you don't have the money to pay for insurance, you probably also don't have half a million just kicking around in your bank account. Because even if you don't have insurance, you're still responsible for any damage your vehicle does. Insurance just takes on that responsibility for you.

If you cause an accident where someone is injured, they're going to sue you. Half a million is nothing for an injury settlement these days. Do you really think the judge will go easier on you because you thought it was unfair that insurance costs so much, so you decided to drive without it? Not likely. Any assets you have will be seized and sold, then you'll spend the next 30 to 40 years working two jobs to pay down your debt.

Life's not fair, princess. Get used to it, or get run over by it.

A motorcycle club is about getting together with a bunch of friends on a Sunday and hitting the twisties, and afterwards giving each other s&@t about who got left behind in the corners and having a laugh at your friend who had a beginner moment mid corner and went out of the lane, it's about having fun with people who share a common interest and passion it's a real sense of community, believe me you meet and become friends with people who you wouldn't think twice about if you passed in the street, before your a doctor, a tradesman or a lawyer, your a motorcyclist

  • What should I do? How should I deal with this?
Best answer: Maybe when the guy took it off the tow truck it broke, still i was while it was in their care. If you have a reliable witness and good evidence i would take them to court. I know you might not want to do that but you have to do what you got to do!!!!

  • Why are car insurance prices so high for young drivers in the UK?
Especially young drivers between 18 and 25 who might not be able to afford the test, insurance, tax of a car nor the car itself. Why do these insurance groups set things to high.
