I get politics. I get the fact that the leader of your nation may not always be a respectable human being. Here in Australia, John Howard was Prime Minister for 11 years, and I freaking hated him. He was a nasty little opportunist that won elections by making the case that he would be brutally hard on refugees.
Yes, maybe some people really do hate Americans, but educated people should view America in a more rational way.
I believe all people deserve the chance to learn how to think critically. We are a long way off from that, but it is something to aim for.

  • Do you think adult playfulness is too often shamed as being childish (granted, there are times when it’s inappropriate & thus childish)? Why?

Best answer: It happens and there should be no shame in it. Got to be that way to play with kids. And at times with my wife. In a normal situation there is always time enough to be adult. And of course one must always be a parent when it comes to children. Even if those children are grown adults. Knowing which is right at... show more

And of course one must always be a parent when it comes to children. Even if those children are grown adults. Knowing which is right at the moment is more an instinctual thing. We just know when to be a parent, or act like an adult, or just be playful and childish at times. Most of us get it right. Even if at times we have it all wrong. Conflicts do arise due to the inability to know which one when and where. But then it all works itself out and we balance it all as it should be again. That is life.

  • Is it true that in the real adult world nobody gives a crap about you (brutally honest answers)?

I really don't csre about you or your personal life. I have things I gotta sorry about and so do others. Keep your crap to yourself." And she walked off. That was harsh. Even when someone is on jail and they had a relative that passed away, the police officers don't give a crap. My sister told me bluntly, "Even if YOU go to jail and something happened to the family, the police and officers won't care. They're not going to care!" My parents and everyone agreed. I was offended. My older brother said, "Well it's the truth! Mom and dad warned you that the cold world doesn't give a **** abour you. You need to accept the harsh reality and snap out of that fantasy world!" I've always though everyone wss going to care of they listen to their problems but shockingly they don't. My best friend even snaps me into reality and doesn't worry about being nice and is upfront about things. I always have these expectations that everyone is nice to me and cares but I end up getting hurt really bad. My dad said, "Your mom and I told you about that and now look at you. You're hurt and dissapointed. We tried to tell you but you didn't bother to listen to us and you got MAD. If you would have listen to us and accepted the reality instead of being stubborn, you wouldn't have been hurt. Learn from this."

I am currently teaching chemistry in summer school, this is my first year teaching so things are still new to me, I have been a substitute teacher before but that’s different. In my class right now I have 2 students who are constantly disrupting the class, they go as far as yelling at me. And they are sophomores in high school, so they aren’t little kids. How do I handle this behavior from teenagers? They throw things, they bully other students, they make fun of my accent, and it’s the same 2 boys who disrupt the class everyday. I’ve tried sending them outside but that doesn’t seem to work, I’ve also sent them to the principals office but that didn’t change anything. What should I do? Have any other teachers had to deal with students like this before on here? I am stressed.
