you can't work, especially in an industry as diverse as the makeup industry, and have so much hate and prejudice.

at the end of the day, a hostile work environment is damaging to the business as a whole, so it does matter.
i personally would not tolerate something like that, but i understand some people just don't care.

So, I told her I liked her. Pretty much after that, I noticed that the teachers who usually talk to me started to talk to me less and act differently toward me and avoid me. I received some strange looks in the hallways. There was one other teacher who usually responds to my e-mail every year when I send her a birthday greeting, and she never responded to my e-mails again. Is she some old menopausal woman freaking out and telling everyone in the lounge about me and what I said to her? I thought she was going to protect me. She's kind of a hypocrite, because she told me, "It will be okay..." And if she did tell them, why didn't they tell me that she told them?

Anyways this trainee on his second day was on break and I discover him using that restroom right after I cleaned it which made me slightly mad so I say to him, "please when you're done, clean up after yourself because I'm f--king sick of people using the facilities and making them dirty again right after I clean them! it f--king p--ses me off!" I felt like when I expressed my anger for this past problem I was only talking about other people doing that and wasn't really accusing him of anything but he seemed appalled by what I said to him and simply says "ok i will" but after I mentioned that it p--ses me off, I'm assuming in an effort to stand his ground says something to me like "I really don't appreciate you talking to me like that and accusing me of something I didn't really even do!" I don't feel like I verbally abused him or shamed him for anything but was I still being rude by any means?

Please excuse my rant for a second, but I feel as if its necessary for me to write about this and vent as well as getting an outsiders opinion. I had an interaction with my stepdad that frustrated me and made me question whether my emotions were rightfully so. Let me know your opinion. He walked into the room and said "I'm still waiting" and that really bugs me when he does that. and by "that" I mean saying a something FORCING me to be like "what" "what are you waiting for" ya know? just like get on with it. But he said he was waiting for me to say "thank you" for fixing my bike, even though I had never asked him to do so and hadn't even noticed, and that really made me think. Isn't the whole point of doing something nice, just because you want to do something nice? not because you wish to receive gratification. I mean maybe I would have said thank you later on but now it almost seems forced and I'm somewhat agitated with him. Help me out. Am I in the wrong for feeling this way? thanks for reading. Really just need to rant and express my emotions to an outsider.

Over the course of two years I've worked my way up from a dishwasher to a prep cook in the restaurant I work in. One of my coworkers was at some point my close friend and was the one who convinced me to ask about switching positions in the first place. After a spiraling downfall of her coming in in one bad mood after another and taking it out on me, I had had enough and I spoke to my boss about the condescending disrescpet I was greeted with every evening. He had a talk with her and now she has not spoken to me in months. She will not communicate with me for work purposes, she rolls her eyes and scoffs at me whenever I walk by her or I'm within he right, she has attempted to hit me by kicking trash cans in my direction as I'm walking down the hall, she's even referred to me as "f*cking idiot" when I accidentally hit her with the revolving restaurant doors as she was walking in and I was walking out. I will be the first to admit that I am sensitive and I hate confrontation. I have tried to be very passive about the whole situation. I still try to treat her with the same respect and fairness that I give to my coworkers, but she's really starting to wear me down.

This happened to me when I was registering and paying for a class at the college front office. If a customer says "thank you" and the worker who helped the customer just says "ok buh bye" it seems like they're saying "alright whatever, just leave" I just feel they should at least throw in a "Thank YOU" or "You're welcome" and/or even "have a good day" when the customer is not only being polite but is also making their job possible and making contribution to their paycheck(s). Thoughts?
