If it is a large value item than can be Import Taxes.
All imported goods are liable to a 15% Goods and Service Tax (GST).

The government implements an import transaction fee of NZ$18 on every commercial import that has a duty and/or liability of NZ$50 or more. The fee is not charged on private import declarations for goods valued under NZ$1,000.

Where the item is made. What the item is. Matters.

The tax also applies to the Postage

Normally if the amount of taxes is less than $60 NZ they do not collect it.

What kind of things are not allowed in New Zealand?
    It is a long list.

  • What are the chances that a condom will break during sex?

I'm a 15 year old girl and I'm planning to have sex with my boyfriend. This is my first time but I feel like I'm mature enough to know what the possibilities are. I'm in Canada and we have youth clinics here so there are lots of resourceful things.

  • Is it true that New Zealand sides with Palestine against Israel because Mossad tries to illegally obtain NZ passports?

Best answer: There could be many reasons. A few reasons I can think of are oil imports from the Middle East nations, a focus away from aboriginal Māori discrimination by pointing to the Palestinians by a support, something related to the Muslims immigrating to New Zealand showing a political support while at the same time wanting to see them stay in Palestine and the surrounding area, and a way to flex their muscles as a member of the security council of the UN.
The passport incident was back in 2004, and I think spies from several countries try to get New Zealand passports and some do it successfully. A few Israelis were caught. New Zealand passports are highly prized by some overseas intelligence agencies because of their neutral stance on many issues.

Best answer: Your citizenship has nothing to do with it. You don't go through customs while travelling within a country. That only happens when you enter one country from another.
