• I bought a fishing rod today and realised its a sea fishing rod. Can I use it on a lake?

Best answer: your rod decision should be based on action. A saltwater rod may be MH to H, and that might be too heavy for lake fishing depending on what you hope to catch.

  • Do you typically go back to the same fishing spot every spring?

There is a certain spot on the river bank (which I just got back from) and I think I have been in that exact same spot every spring for the past 5 years. I should probably change it up some, its been quiet this year but most years that one spot does better then anywhere else I know.

It is unthinkable that a person like you should ever allow any creature to be slain so you can eat it or wear its hide. No one over the age of 12 should be allowed to eat the flesh of any creature unless they are willing tokill and clean that critter first. Having someone else do it for you does not relieve you of the fact that some critter died that you could nourish yourself. When you look at it that way, killing that poor critter gets easier quickly. .

  • I am going shopping for a present for my fiance.we want to fish this summer.i need to know what to buy.?

Best answer: its tough when we dont know what type of fish you are going after. Maybe a med light combo in spinning gear for an all around. Go to your local sporting goods store and let them help you out. I would get a GOOD fillet knife and have it engraved. Every time he uses it he will think of you.

You want rods that don't cost much but good, ugly stik, some cabela's or bass pro fishing rods.
Rods with a warranty but have some that do not cost a lot, well some people still consider the lower priced ones as being expensive, TFO, St. Croix, and I can go on but no real info on what you want or no mention of budget.
All in all, find out what rod would be the best for you by talking to someone at a fly shop if you're looking for fly rod, or go to a sporting goods store and ask a bunch of questions, then tell them what you are fishing for, then tell them what you're willing to spend.
