  • My daughter keeps playing loud music when she is home alone. Neighbours are starting to complain?

What should I do? Due to my work schedule, she has to be home alone for a short amount of time after school. It is only about 20 minutes but she blares classic rock music during this time for the entire community to hear.

  • Do you think it's wrong I let my son have a female friend over in his room with the door closed?

Now that they're older, my husband thinks they shouldn't be allowed to be in his room alone. However, I check on them and they're just watching a movie or playing a video game. I think my husband worries because my son Adam has a girlfriend now; but, his girlfriend Melissa knows Lori. Sometimes they all hang out together. Am I being too naive or what?

This is something we're not planning to go into details with her until she's much older (or won't even bring up if she never asks). She can already have the feeling that she's somehow "different", but can't put it into words. She explains how she has different hair and eyes than the rest of the family and doesn't look like her older brother. Lately, my daughter has been questioning us and trying to explain her observations. When should we tell her?

  • Is it okay for a parent to take 3 days off from parenting every week?

I am going to be a new mom soon and I am planning leaving my child at my parents place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so I can have time to myself. I am going to be a single mother so it’s important for me to have days off from parenting.

Our daughter is a month old and I feel like A single parent. He works a lot and has to get up very early in the morning during the weekdays. I’m a stay at home Mom so I get up with her at night during the week which I think is fair since he has to work. However I do feel he should help at night on the weekends when he’s not working but he refuses to. He said the weekend is “his time to sleep in”. Not once has he gotten up with her at night and on top of it he gets angry if her crying wakes him up so I have to take her to the complete other side of the house to avoid his crankyness. Also he only really watches her for like maybe an hour a day so I can shower but as soon as I’m done he gives her back. Iv tried talking to him about it and he just throws it in my face that his job is harder then staying home like me. I know he loves and cares about her cause he’s super sweet when he actually does take her. What should I do?

They'll be less likely to make stupid mistakes if they know the consequence is more likely to be getting pregnant or having an STI.
