• Dad of 3 soon to be. I’m worried about the unknown. My current kids are still young and 2 years apart. How is it different?

Can’t afford a bigger house at this time, so we will figure something out. With 2, basically my wife and I take care of 1 child each and we have a good routine going. With the extra that means more responsibility and challenge. Can anyone with more than 2 give me experience? Wife and I will still continue to work... show more

I've heard about people have money send their kids to boarding school. I also thought, in general, boarding school is better equip to discipline kids. My 13 year old son is smart, but he spends too much time on the phone or games. I'd tried lots to intervene, the daily tension in the house is mostly caused by me telling him to get off the electronics and follow the electronic usage rules. I need him to have more discipline, spend more time studying and grow up to be an independent and upright gentleman. Will boarding school be the answer?

  • I called my 12 son a "brat" out of anger?

Is that really bad? He cried saying I called him names. Maybe I apologize? BTW, he really acted like a brat.

Best answer: I think fathers shouldn’t do it. There is nothing wrong with showing emotions and when kids are taught to suppress them it is unhealthy.
