  • Why do I see blurry rainbow dots?

Best answer: I'm not sure.. Have you hit your head? Are you stressed out at all? If so that might be why. If not then go to your doter or local walk in clinic and see why immediately.

  • Why do fish need so much space in an aquarium?

The only fish he would sell me for 25 litres was a single Betta. Why do fish need so much space? It seems strange that small fish need more space than mice or rabbits do. I am not at all saying fish should not be treated well, I just bought a 125 l aquarium because I want my pets to be happy and healthy, but I just find it strange that a petshop will sell me a 2x4 metres rabbitcage and say that is good, but the 3 centimeter long fish needs more space pr. centimeter/liter than any of the other animals Is there a reason for this?

  • How to control water evaporation in fish tank?

Is the tank in a window or near a heating source?

I think the problem is that fish tanks are generally warmer than the air around them. That is just how it needs to be for the health of the fish. This causes the water to evaporate. I have a 30 gallon tank with the same issue. The same thing happened with my 55 gallon tank.

I would suggest you move the fish to a larger then ten gallon tank. You could also use a large bin or big plastics laundry basket or tub. keep the filter runnung over the egde it posslible, or just work fast. Do not change the filter cartridges for at least 3 weeks.

Then do waht you need to do to the tank, and add both new and old filter together. you do not need to keep any old water, but make shure the tank water is the temp as it was before, a digital thermometor can save lives!

You should be safe to carefully move all the fish back once the tempurature is were it was. Add seachums stress gaurd or another stress coat building product to the new water to help replace any stress coat that was rubbed off of the fish when you handled them.

  • Need betta fish advice!?

Best answer: I would not change the water again, yet. Although you've been doing this the whole time, Bettas do better with only partial water changes. Only 50% change is better and less often. You are using chlorine remover drops?
    Water temp?

Is the new tank made of a different material? I would consider going back to the original container with ALL the original items, removing everything else. Don't add new things right now.

Don't change anymore water right now.

Going a few weeks w/o eating doesn't sound very good. Maybe he's just getting old. But, you should try to entice him with frozen brine shrimp - that is a favorite of Bettas.

You also might inquire with an aquarium store, and possibly try a product such as Tetra Fungus Eliminator, which is used for many different I'll.

Also, had his lighting changed? Did you start putting the new light on? Did he used to be near natural light, or darker?

  • How long can a gold fish survive in a bowl (healthily)?

Best answer: When you see the fish breathing at the surface of the water, it's time to get him into a larger home that has aeration and a strong filter.
