At first i want to choose 2TB because I thought it would be better for me to store it more files, but the problem is that WD Blue is 5400rpm. Which is slower than 7200rpm. The only hard drive that is appropriate for speed is 1TB 7200rpm. Please I need suggestions. Should I buy a WD Blue 1TB 7200rpm or WD Blue 2TB 5400rpm? and by the way, my old hard drive was WD Blue 500GB 7200rpm.

Just bought a new computer, had a bad fan so I replaced it. Now the hard drive is making a funny sound. Bear in mind it has made this sound from day one and i haven t had any trouble reading or writing data. Now though I walked into the room and slowly became aware of that sound but in a continuous loop. It s hard to describe. A very faint noise like compressed air blowing across a thin piece of metal creating a faint resonant tone and followed up by a faint tick tick. The sound is so quiet you d be forgiving for thinking you imagined it. Most of the times I heard it were at a point were the computer had been either idle or doing very little work and when I would switch to a more demanding task it would make the sound once. But to be in a continuous loop made me nervous. I started HD tune and told it to look for errors. We are talking about a sound quieter than clicking your finger nails.

  • What's my motherboards pci slot power output?

Best answer: that's not the problem. userbenchmark.com reports that the 1050 ti is only about 17 percent faster than your old 950. not surprised you are disappointed ... and if your cpu is bottlenecking the whole shebang, it is entirely possible that you're getting zero improvement.

Best answer: The GT 610 is a low end graphics card somewhat below current Intel integrated graphics. There are a few versions of it and none of them very good. The AMD FX-4130 CPU determined what motherboard is compatible and limits the CPUs you can upgrade into and actually CPUs that are compatible with more cores or higher clocks do not get a lot of gaming performance improvement.

The NVidia GT 610 upgrade of graphics to something better depends upon your power supply, computer case width for card height, and computer case cage for length or thickness interference. If you get an AMD GPU card, the driver software change is more significant. Getting an NVidia GPU card (GPU = Graphics Processor Unit where CPU is Central Processor Unit), is more of a driver update or upgrade and is a little easier to deal with.
The actual card manufacturers are other companies.

Graphics cards have gone up in price, and sometimes a better value is available used on ebay.
Older good cards are more likely to need a power supply upgrade as well.

The graphics processor can be NVidia or AMD, and card can be any manufacturer, though some are more reliable than others.

Your CPU will lower gaming performance to some extent compared to standard reported test results of gaming.
Still, it is helpful to understand approximate expected performance of graphics cards.
This has a pull-down for desktop cards/ Wait for data load, then change to Desktop cards and re-select games (Hold the CTRL to select) and then RESTRICT to refresh:

An RX 460 4GB and RX 560 4GB - 896 I believe are the same cards, and NVidia GTX 1050 2GB is approximately equal performance.
That is $110 to $120 in the USA after rebate
Most should not need a power supply with a PCIe 6 pin connector.
They are 10 to 18 times the performance of your GT 610.

You need to name your country for shopping, money available, power supply by brand and model, and some computer case information to know what size card will fit.

As a matter of fact, NVidia graphics cards work a little better than AMD graphics cards with AMD CPUs until at the newst leels of both. You would prefer a different NVidia card unless a similar performance AMD based is a lot cheaper.
I like this card for $120 after rebate in the USA

But recently I've gotten a bit better GPU as a gift (Radeon HD 6450) and seeing that I can't sell the old one to anyone (I tried, I failed), I want to see if I can somehow kill it or damage it without damaging my other components. I tried to make the graphics card overheat using FurMark, but once it gets up to 110°C (230°F) the PC just shuts down immediately and it won't turn on until the card cools down a bit. I've also thought about shorting it, but I'm afraid it could damage the other components. So, what can I do?

Best answer: If all you want to do is backup an external drive and the contents are stable and don't change then all you need to do is to copy all the files from one external drive to another external drive using copy and paste method.

If the contents are frequently changing then to keep your backup up to date you would then only need to copy the new or changed files, in this situation you don’t want to clone the drive you need a backup solution - the two are different. Cloning creates a duplicate of the drive onto another drive, while this is a form of a backup, to clone a whole drive is time consuming and inflexible it only creates a snapshot image at one point in time. For a fresh backup you have to repeat the process. As the backup drive is a complete copy it cannot be used for anything else

A Backup solution such as acronis or macrium is different. This can be set to backup the contents of your computer or a single drive onto another external drive as a backup file. The initial backup does indeed backup all the contents. Subsequent or incremental backups need only to copy new or changed files, in this way subsequent backups are smaller and quicker, it also makes it possible to retrieve earlier versions of files impossible by cloning.

Also there is no need to duplicate post in other sections, this just creates unecessary work for answerers if the questions has already been answered elsewhere
