If you ever meet the people who run animal farms, you will notice they are immune to the bad feeling of killing an animal. It is their job, if they don't do it they don't eat [because they can't sell the meat for money to buy their other things].
People have gotten used to buying processed meat in markets, many forget that meat came from a living beings.
A lion, like an animal farmer, must kill an animal to make a living thus eat.

If you're killing every other day you will grow immune to it.
Even cannibals, there are cannibalistic tribes out there, do you think those people feel like crap every time they kill and eat someone? NO they grow immune to that and it becomes routine.

It started off as a white flicker, and it moved very strangely. I thought it might have been a firefly, but fireflies are more yellow balls of light that appear round in shape while this one moved in a more linear line and it was a pure white light that moved in different zigzag motions. I've been looking for this bug everywhere online but could not find it, but does anyone else know what it might have been?

The name asp is not very technical because it is a common name for a viper in southern Europe and also an Egyptian Cobra.

Best answer: Hippos are mammals, and mammals evolved from a therapsid reptile, which is a synapsid reptile. Synappsid reptiles are among the earliest known reptiles. Dinosaurs are diapsid reptiles. Therefore even though both the ancestor of mammals and dinosaurs are reptiles, they are not particularly closely related. They last shared an ancestor in the early days of the evolution of reptiles, which means their common ancestor lived around 300 million years ago. Mammals in fact evolved around 220 million years ago, and so did dinosaurs, but they evolved from different ancestors.
