• Is it possible to have surgery to return my colon to normal size?

If so, what did you do and what advice do you have?

I'm 25 and a chronic pain patient and take Vicodin, MS Contin (morphine), and Valium. My pain management doctor randomly tests me to make sure I'm not taking illegal medications and to make sure I'm taking my prescribed medications. Anyway, I had my doctor's appointment a few days ago and was tested (saliva drug test). My doctor called me up the next day and said I had NO morphine and NO Valium in my system. That's impossible because the day before my appointment I went to the ER for severe pain and the hospital gave me a dosage of my own medications while I was there. I have documented proof of it. I haven't been able to get in contact with my doctor since it's the weekend. He didn't act like I was in trouble, but I don't want him to mistrust me. Should I call tomorrow and ask to be retested? And show him proof I had my medications in my system, and it was the fault of the test? Thank you

To prevent it happening always take them with food, or a glass of milk, and use sparingly. If you get any symptoms of heartburn or indigestion stop taking them and see your doctor. If he feels that you would benefit from continuing to take them he may prescribe a medication to protect your stomach such as Omeprazole. As long as you follow the directions on the box you should be fine. Herron make both paracetamol tablets (Herron Gold) and ibuprofen tablets (Herron Blue).

Long term regular use of any pain relief isn't recommended as even paracetamol puts a strain on your liver. Does this mean my iron was extremely low (as far as I remember she didnt specify how low it was)? Should I be paranoid about taking such a high dosage? It's not something you want to take too much of... sorry, I'm the overly paranoid, panicky type - especially about health. Just need some insight.
