• Law Discrimination: I put an application in at a restaurant. A friend said they will never hire me due to my facial tattoos - is that legal?

He said he knows that restaurant manager and that the man hates facial tattoos and piercings - wouldn't that be illegal discrimination? How much can I sue for if he doesn't give me that job.

So I work in a kids club in a hotel supervising children I fractured my wrist 6 months ago had surgery etc etc but The hotel wouldn’t allow me to work while in a cast. I desperately need the money as I’m 6 months out of wages and the doctor said there’s no problem me returning to work as I’m not required to lift anything I’m also with at least 2 other staff members at all times so there’s no risk or need for me to lift anything if it came to the bit. The doctor cleared me to work, manager doesn’t see a problem but HR won’t allow it. Are they allowed to do this? I’m from Ireland if that makes any difference Thanks in advance

I wouldn’t normally just cancel but then their attitude got my back up so I decided not to reschedule the original appointment and go elsewhere. They’re now saying I have to pay the full fee. Is this enforceable? I have no contract with them and haven’t signed anything. They also didn’t state an actual time scale on their cancellation policy just that there was one for ‘late’ cancellations. They have sent emails and sent a letter to my house and I’m unsure on where I stand on this issue legally. Would/could they try to enforce it somehow? Thanks :)

And then weeks later, he’s fired due to reasons having nothing to do with his attitude. He was pleasant, never said “no” when something needed to be done, and was very polite. Unfortunately, his performance wasn’t up to par. Did he really deserve to be backstabbed?

My grandmother passed away and my father is the executive of her estate. I do not get along with my father and have reason to believe he does not want me to inherit anything. Through the court website I found the attorney representing my father for the estate case, and I asked her if I was in the Will because I do not trust asking my father. The attorney told me I am not in the will. Is there any chance that they are lying to me on behalf of my fathers wishes? It seems there would be no concequence for her doing so. If I am in the will, I believe my father would postpone informing me as long as possible so that I could not get a copy of the Will and get an estate loan. That is why I believe he’d have his attorney lie to me.
