    A family friend is having family issues (a couple in her family is getting divorce due to cheating), and she told the person who was cheating to "kill themselves, because everyone is better without you." This cheater is known for having mental illness (bipolar), even though she wasn't properly diagnosed by a dr, If this person was to kill themselves, can my friend get charged with something? We are located in Indiana. I told her what she did was illegal, but because I'm young they tend to not believe anything I say. If you can, can you post links to anything. Thank you.

    Yesterday, it was my boyfriend and I's one month anniversary. We had to go to a football game due to being in band, but spent about an hour afterwards parked on a run-down road where barely anybody goes. For insight, neither me or my boyfriend have ever had sex and we aren't planning on it either. A car comes by and asks us if we need help, and we say no, that we were just talking. Soon, a cop comes and asks for our ID's. I'm only 16, and my boyfriend is 17, but the curfew is 12PM here, and we were only out at 11PM. The cop takes our ID's and begins questioning us, saying he is going to call my parents and asks us truthfully what we were doing. I told him confidently that we were just talking and he leaves with our ID's. I start crying because I was super anxious and afraid of what could have happened, so when he comes back, he starts talking and then goes "What's wrong with you?" in an annoyed tone. I told him I was nervous and he just scoffs. He tells us he was going to let us go, that he wasn't stupid and he knew that weren't just talking, so basically accusing us of doing inappropriate stuff. I was shaken up after that by how he acted towards us, and I was wondering, did my boyfriend (the driver) or me (the passenger) break any laws? And did they take our ID's rightfully? We live in Tennessee.

  • I was texting and accidentally ran someone over and broke their spine so how do I sue them for damages to my car?

    Best answer: if you were paying attention and hit the person anyway, then that is attempted murder and you will get jail time and won't get to drive you fancy wheels. be careful what you admit to.

  • Is it legal to drive a go kart on a public road with no license?

    I live on a slightly rural road (no curb, gravel-ish) in Texas and I’m planning on getting a tiny go kart. I don’t have a driver’s license. My dad says it’s illegal to drive the kart at like 20 mph on a “public road” with no license. Is he right?

    Best answer: I believe the death penalty, if managed properly, is a good idea. Why? Because, violent and dangerous criminals who are repeat offenders are given chances to just continue their criminal career at the expense of innocent people and lives, INCLUDING the tax payers giving them free room and board for the rest of their lives at up to $50,000.00 per inmate, per year. FOR WHAT...for them to rot in prison?

    Serious crimes should include the death penalty. Let's say that in one prison, there are 100 inmates that are in prison for life due to violent crimes...that means us tax payers are being charged FIVE MILLION dollars PER YEAR to pay for their food, health care, a roof over their head, expenses for prison employees, and the prison employee's work benefits and vacations. Let's say the average lifetime inmate spends 20 years in jail before they die....the cost to the tax payers is $100,000,000.00;
    not including inflation over a 20 year period.

    So, you tell me that keeping violent and disgusting criminals alive just to die in prison on the tax payer's dollars is fair to everyone else.

    Perhaps we should have laws to keep someone in prison for JUST ten years to punish them and then release the taxpayers from paying for their sorryasses to rot in jail by implementing the death penalty. Let them suffer, then release us from paying for it.

    If the government is going to take the tax payer's money it should be used for GOOD reasons that help society, not to keep violent criminals alive. My example of monies spent on keeping just 100 life sentenced criminals alive is mind blowing.......but it is just a tiny, itty bitty fraction of the actual monies spent on inmates sentenced to life. We NEED that money IN society, where it goes to a good cause, not to keep a crazy lunatic alive. locked up in a cell for decades on end.
