There are no bleach particles on your hands. I had the same problem with I sanitized my fish tanks and it took a day or two to get rid of it. You go swimming in a... show more

You go swimming in a chlorinated pool, that's about the same thing.

I recently had a discussion with my housemate about house cleanliness. The main topic for discussion was the cleanliness of the oven trays. He argued that trays do not need to be washed for many reasons: not only does it save on water, soap, and time, but also it is also not unhealthy since all dangerous bacteria is mostly killed while in the oven. If there is grease on the tray, it means that things don't stick the following time it's used. Any remains left on the tray will not make any difference to the quality of food in the future, since none of the remains are scraped off or anything like that. Keeping the tray clean has no benefits, since it is metal and will not be fundamentally damaged by leftover food marks. For him, washing the tray is the opposite of using the tray efficiently. My argument was substantially thinner --- I could only argue that washing trays was required because it's just gross not to otherwise. I extend this to the community: are there any more arguments for or against the washing of oven trays? I would like to see all scopes of the arguments, and to see what the majority feel is right.
