Best answer: I can relate to you my GPs career path. He, like myself is a veteran who served ten years in the Navy after graduating from med school with an additional two years of inactive reserves. Today he has a good practice and is well established and debt free for his education and in his early 40s. Many of his colleagues on the other hand are still paying for med school and he figures he is ahead of them financially because of this and has no regrets. I also have a couple of other friends who have gone similar routes and once you graduate from med school you usually go in as a O-3 unless you have a specialty of some kind and then it is O-4. Most go in without a specialty and that extra schooling and debt for a specialty tacks on two additional years of active duty commitment for a total of twelve years active duty is how this works in most cases. Physicians, nurses, and those professionals in the legal field (lawyers) are recruited somewhat differently than regular enlistees and the rules and standards for them are somewhat different in some ways also. Maximum age for enlistment for instance is one difference for those in professional areas like what we are talking about here.

There also are some professional type education programs that all the military services have that allows an individual already serving to go back to school for additional credentials like a specialization in medicine. Those types of programs also carry active duty time being added to your contract if you are accepted into such a program and then you go off to school and resume your military service upon completion of your schooling. Some of those programs are open in other ways for advance degrees in other areas as well even which I have seen a number of officers take advantage of for acquiring their masters or PHD in something. Advance degrees in the military are required for promotion to the senior officer ranks of O-5 and O-6. That is why some officers elect to pursue advanced degrees on their own during their off-duty time once they are in the military.

Look, you maybe gauged it wrongly. Often stuff in life turns out much tougher than we expected. And in the words of that old saying, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going.' It's a good life lesson!

So we were assigned to this project at the start of the year and the deadline is this week. We are 3 in total, but one of my teammates didn't do her part. Since me and the other person thought that she wasn't going to do it, we decided to do our own thing (which is already done now). Today we were supposed to turn in the project and we gave her a last chance: Send your part until 9pm. She send it an hour late, but still did it. My other teammate and I are pissed about this and we don't know if we should leave her out now since I still have to put her part on the project, which will take hours to do since we are all unexperienced (the assignment is a video). This isn't going to end well for me because I know something bad will happen between me and her (she'll probably talk **** about me to others. Thinking about this already makes me anxious af), but this is not the first time she has left us in a situation like this. One of my plans is to send her a message saying that I won't be able to edit it anymore and, when I give the assignment to my teacher, I explain the situation. Please, any thoughts, answers and suggestions are appreciated.

  • Why dont the rich kids at my school don't go to a private school?

Best answer: Private schools are options that should be available to all who believe the school they are attending is inadequate for their needs.
They pay for their public schools.. They should not be prevented from attending them if that is what they prefer.
Or are you just jealous because of their cars?
