• Did people use the internet in the 1970’s?

Best answer: The first uses of the internet by people at home were in the 1980s. There were a few services you could subscribe to. There was no World Wide Web, and no graphical browsers- everything was in text only. A great deal of older information has been uploaded to the internet since then.

Best answer: Weapons training for you will be limited to small arms weapons training only because of the Geneva Convention and Laws of Armed Conflict.. As for being deployed or sea duty there certainly is a chance for that and the US does have Naval ships deployed to various places in south west and south east asia as well as some land based assets in those areas as well. My GP did 12 years with the military; ten active and two in the Naval reserve under one of their programs like what you are considering. Today he is debt free from all the student loans and debt that some of his colleagues still have and are paying for years later because they went directly into civilian or private practice after graduating from med school. He figures he is way ahead financially because of that and the route he took even though he did not enter practice in the civilian sector until ten years after graduating from med school.

  • In Romans 9:15, what is the difference between mercy and compassion?

Best answer: The recipient of mercy is one who is strictly speaking, undeserving or guilty; whereas compassion is given to one who is without blame but disadvantaged by circumstances. Compassion can be equated with kindness. Mercy is closer to grace.

  • Lowest gpa?

I just found out that my high school gpa is 1.0, I feel like crying. I don't think I was such a bad student, I mean I don't have all A's but I surely don't have all F's and D's. Can there be a mistake or am I really this dumb?

Best answer: I used to hate having to learn stuff, so I did really badly at school.
As I got older and started learning at night school at my own expense, I worked out that, if I tried to really understand everything as I went along, it all made sense and I didn't actually have to learn it. If you understand how ideas and techniques hang together, you can bring them to mind no matter which direction you approach them from. It is still hard work but the payback in terms of grades and exam results is well worth it. I went from a borderline failure to the highest level of success ... and it is not because I am a naturally clever person but just because I took the trouble to understand it.
As a result, I went from dead-end, low paid jobs and worked my way up to much more senior, MUCH better paid positions. It took me many years of seriously hard work and studying, most of which would have been unnecessary if I'd studied properly at school.
The motivation, my friend, is that a good education can set you up for life. An unsuccessful education can condemn you to being at the bottom of the economic heap for life, low paid, struggling and unsatisfied with life.
Studying is more fun if you understand everything. Even if you still don't really like studying, everyone likes being a winner so that is reason enough to study.
    I wish you success.
