Best answer: If I have the right of way I do not slow down, I maintain the posted speed limit. WAY too many people do the unexpected and that causes accidents. If you maintain your speed, others can see what speed you are going and adjust accordingly. One of my pet peeves is someone slowing down or yielding the right of way unnecessarily. I have had people who have had the right of way actually STOP in front of me to yield right of way to a stopped car. You only slow down or yield to avoid accidents, do not do it if it will create a problem. For your example, maintain your speed, do not slow down as you could get rear ended.

  • Failed my driving test for the third time. someone help if this is a major!?

Best answer: Your problem is your confidence. Get your head in the game and walk in the DMV like you own the place (Stay respectful though). Think about all the loser drivers out there that have licenses and know that you will get one too, the next time you try. Quit fretting and make it count. You will do it!

SHOULD YOU? In most cases NO.

    CAN YOU? YES
You may have the right of way. Excising that right is permitted. It could result in others saying you are dead right. Your family might get some payout over the incident but YOU are still dead exercising your right of way privileges.

WHY would you not want to avoid a collision if you can by yielding your right of way?
Do you seriously think a bus driver would deliberately just proceed because they have the right of way when a truck fails to stop coming from the side and they can see something bad is about to happen?

It has happened. MILLIONS of dollars will be spent on the victims. If you ask them they would have much preferred the accident had not happened and that their 16 seatmates were still alive enjoying their lives.

"Now, as a father, I couldn't imagine getting the phone call about my son being in a tragedy like that.?

NO amount of money will ever compensate them back to what it was before the accident.
It does not matter a busy road or a road with little traffic. If you can do something to avoid the accident you SHOULD do something.
It has happened on busy roads too. You the driver dying but knowing you had the right of way means what really?

One day my mom took me out practicing in the parking lot in the pouring rain and it was just so scary because even though I had my wipers on I couldn't even barely see out the side windows. So I can only imagine what it's like to be driving on the highway in conditions like that. My friend got his license and he really likes driving, I think I would too but I still wonder if I'll even be good at driving. The thought of being in the pouring rain on the highway surrounded by cars while going 60 to 70 mph is just too much for me.

  • When 2 cars arrive at the intersection simultaneously & they both intend to turn left, how can you pick whether you or the other car can go?

Best answer: The cars are supposed to go at the same time.

If you don't know how they can do that safely, then you let the other driver go first -- because the other driver probably knows how both cars can go simultaneously, does not know that you don't know, and shouldn't have to wait because you don't know.

I am 4'5" and 65lbs so I am really short for my age (I am the average height of a 9yo). All my friends never see me in it and they don't know I use one. I do go on roadtrips with one of my friends and his mom always agrees to put my carseat in their car and hes the only friend that knows about it (I've known him for a very long time). The seat is VERY comfortable and soft. The harness is even better because it allows be to partially slide back into it and the straps keep me in place (The crotch strap is really tight though). So I'm not complaining but I do kinda want to sit in a normal seat, I assume I should be sitting in a normal seat, right??
