Checked once I got home and the fuse on the alternator power wire was blown. I replaced the fuse and went to reconnect the battery but now the cable is arcing badly on the battery. I added a grounding cable to the alternator as well as the engine and no difference. Checked all other wiring for shorts/bad grounds but traced the issue to the alternator power wire which is brand new as is the alternator. What could be causing this?

Now my transmission is jerking from stop and go. I brought it to the dealer, and people said it was the replaced left tail light causing the problem. So I called the auto body shop asked about it, they refused to admit replacing it and said they only took it out and put it back, so it is not under warranty. It does show "remove/install" only on the bill I got from the body shop, but I did not notice until now. I mean, who will care if the tail light is replaced as long as it works, right? I called my insurance again, and they said they would investigate but it does not seem helpful at all. So what should I do now? Nobody is wanting to take responsibility. Thank you in advance for answering this question.

I've had 3 cars where the timing belt was never done one car had 125,000 miles, another had, 140,000 miles and my current car has 195,000 miles. I know for a fact these cars did have timing belts. I am doing my timing belt this weekend on my current car because 200,000 miles on a car with a timing belt is definitely to much. However, I rarely hear of people doing timing belts, my father said he's never once done one on a car to be fair quite a few of his cars has timing chains but still the cars with belts he didn't worry about and they never broke. I am not saying that I'm going to push off the timing belt. but I feel as if the timing belt have turned into one of those things where its just over exaggerated on its importance. I've never heard of a car with 100,000 miles and a broken timing belt.

My 2001 Jeep GC 4.7 seems to have developed an issue with building excess pressure and cracking the radiator. I've twice had to replace the radiator after it builds pressure and "blows" spewing fluid and steam everywhere. Currently I just replaced radiator #3 myself and the problem seems to have resided. Starting it up and at letting it sit at idle, it eventually begins to overheat - simultaneously the pressure builds making the hoses feel rock hard. After I turn it off, let it cool and remove the cap, it very loudly pops off with abnormally excess force. If I would leave it running, I'm certain it would crack the radiator and overheat just as before. Why is this happening and why is it recurring? There's no funny noises from the cooling system, no smoke from anything, including exhaust, no leaks. This is coupled with a recurring power steering pump failure as well if that's any clue. Thx for any insight!

So, I'm broke, got no job, no family and if that wasn't enough; I recently became homeless and all I've on my name is $3,320 and was wondering which car would be great to live-in on a regular basis? The problem is (Like there weren't enough problems!) that I'm a big man; 6'2" @ 230lbs and I absolutely don't like sleeping cramped and I LOVE sleeping cause that's the only thing that's keeping me sane and alive, literally. And I also have quite a few luggage (Clothes, lots of books, cooking utensils etc) so it must have a HUGE trunk! I can't afford a trailer and I've got a huge ego so I'd NEVER stay at a friend... So please, don't lecture me. I've always lived as an asset and shall try my best to avoid being a liability. In any case; it'll only be for a few weeks; maybe a month tops (I hope!) provided everything goes smoothly so its not like I'm gonna be camping in the car forever! So, which car would be suitable for me? P.S If you're a man of faith; then do pray for me as I can really use some assistance from the heavens! A miracle, if I may... Good Day!

I put brand new spark plugs in it and the misfiring still seems to be occurring. I have an engine scanner and hooked it up to my car and the scanner could not pick anything up even though there is a check engine light showing. I think it could be a bad fuel pump. I don't want to take it to a mechanic just yet because I would like to try fixing it myself if possible before I have to spend a ton of money. I do have a little bit of experience fixing cars so I'm not clueless in what I'm doing, but with this, I'm just not sure.
