I seriously don't understand why people hate leather so much. I often hear these things. -"It smells like old shoes." -"It holds smells." -"Too hot in the summer on too cold in the winter." -"They're difficult to maintain." -"They don't last." -"They stain easily." The majority of these facts are wrong. A couple are opinions. I've heard these things and none of them make any sense at all. I have 2 cars with cloth seats and never again. If I so much as look at them the wrong way, they become stained. Leather is a lot easier to care for if it's kept up on (clearing them off and conditioning). Why do people hate leather so much?

He didn't come home until 2 am because he was out playing cards with his friends and gambling, drinking excessively and smoked pot and he made it home and wouldn't do me because he crashed out on the bed. So he owns his own shop with another guy and he slept in to 2 pm and so before that I put a gallon of milk using a funnel down his gas tank. He's going to wake up and probably check out the bike shop before he goes out and parties what should I do?

  • Will my car survive a short road trip?

Best answer: I am 71 years of age. Asking a 190K mile old car to go 60 miles more is like asking me to live 8 days more longer.
Ask me next week, if I respond, your car will probably last 60 miles also.

Steady 55 mph highway is being gentle on a car. Stop and go is the killer.

  • Can you stall an automatic transmission car with a mode that lets you pretend it’s a stick-shift?

I have a 2010 Nissan Altima that has a sport mode kinda thing where it lets you pretend it’s a stick-shift and manually shift the gears while you drive (and I guess it pretends that it has gears because it’s a CVT). Could I stall it if I slammed the breaks on while driving in manual mode since there’s no clutch to... show more

Could I stall it if I slammed the breaks on while driving in manual mode since there’s no clutch to push in? Or would it get damaged in any other way?

So I left my house and went to the gas station to get gas and I normally get mid range and I left the gas station and got on the highway. When I was on the highway and I started accelerating my whole car started shaking and was cutting out and my check engine light came on. So I exited and took an emergency route to get back home ASAP and tried to let the car idle and not give it much gas. I also noticed the car began shaking again after I came to a stop and started when I accelerated. Recently I had my hoses detach from my radiator and my car overheated and leaked out antifreeze. Since then its been smelling weird and then this happened today about 1-2 months after the hose incident. I really hope my engine isn’t ruined someone who knows or has experienced this please help.

My boyfriend had a belt break in his old rusty car, and since he wasn't near enough home to get it back here, and he wanted it done quickly, he took it to a shop that was right there. While he was waiting and trying to keep the dog calm (our pup was with him), they put it up on a lift. He didn't realize they were doing that until after it was done, because he wasn't looking through the glass into the shop, but when he saw he commented that he had been going to mention that his car probably wouldn't do well on a lift, but thought they would know that from the state of the old car. The belt is accessed from the hood of the car. We don't know why they lifted it. Anyway, they fixed the belt, but he got in and started driving and basically had no breaks. The car is old, but they did break it by needlessly lifting it. Are they likely to pay or should they, or is this just kind of a thing where if the car was that rusty, it's not on them?
