My parents were searching for a car for me for awhile. Finally, after months, they found one & bought it for me without me knowing. It was surprisingly cheap for the amount of miles it had on it. Even though I didn't really like it, I was so grateful because I finally had a car & it was very nice of them to buy it. I signed papers and the car is in my name. However, within the first couple weeks, all these problems arise in the car. It needed new parts. Since the car was cheap, my parents were kind enough to purchase some new parts. Then, I find out that the same problem keeps happening even after we got new parts. Now, I may have to get a new battery to fix it. We don't even know for sure if it will fix the problem. I looked up this problem with my car and it turns out thousands of the same car that i have got a recall for this problem. I feel like it's unable to be fixed. Is it spoiled of me to think that I shouldn't have to pay to fix it since I never had a say in purchasing it?

  • What's the truth about letting your car get under half a tank?

Is it really that bad? I see why under a quarter tank can put stress on your fuel pump. But half a tank seems a little over caution. Anyone agree

I have a Honda civic 2015, it s fairly new. My battery completely died, and when I tried to jumpstart as usual (I ve had ongoing battery isues for a while now) it did not start. At first I thought they were cables, so I tried another set of cables, when I connected the lines, sparks were produced and I could see smoke where the plastic lining on the clasps were melting. When I tried to take it off, it was extremely hot to to touch. This was really weird to me, this never happens. I connected them correctly, so I tried two other cables, same thing. I ended up changing my car battery, thinking my battery simply died. The car still won t start after changing the battery, and no lights come on when I try to start the car. It s completely dead. No response from pushing the start button. Did I short a circuit or is this a bigger issue than I originally thought ?

From the shaking and what i can tell, thw problem seems to bw coming from the front passenger side. I thought it might be my tires so I replaced all of them. I have also replaced my wheel bearing and hub. The ball joint and out tie rod were also replaced but the problem still exist. Please help. It feels like something is going to fall off.

  • Don't understand why they only use disc brakes?

Why on a car do they only have one set of brake discs to each wheel? I don't really understand, also why do they only have one set of discs around the wheel and not positioned at multiple locations? I've also read upgrading your brakes doesn't inherently improve stopping distance, but all performance vehicles have noticeably better stopping distances compared with normal vehicles? Thankssss

That's an average of over 20 miles every hour, 24 hours a day, in New York traffic, back in 1964. Cars have least deterioration on open road, needing only enough down time for regular maintenance.

The spark plugs and timing belt are fairly new and in good condition. I have invested enough money in this car to last another life time, I even took this car into firestone to check what was the deal and they said the car was in great condition, I understand this car is 17 years old but its only a 4 cylinder and in good condition

There are four screws, all the same size (quite small) and they are all cross head screws however the company that's made the product have filed three of the screws to not have the cross anymore (Basically instead of having a cross in the middle, they've been filed into circles) Any help is appreciated, but before anyone says "Just send it to the factory" I am not spending £50+ on something that could be easily fixed if I could just get these damn screws out...
