  • Does Straight Pipe slow down your car or use more fuel?

Adding a straight pipe on a 4 cylinder dual exhaust RWD sedan, is it going to cause the car to be slowed down due to more weight or use more fuel. I simply wish it to become louder.

I have had multiple cars in my driveway for years and this never happened. Regardless they are covering this under the warranty although this isn t typically covered but they have had my car for over 2 weeks not and now are saying the part is back ordered and will not work on it for an other 2 weeks. At this point they have had my car longer than I did. I am sure the car was initially damaged in the lot I bought it from. The car now has been torn apart to get to this part and I cannot be sure I wont run into any more issues because of this. I am not sure what my next s steps should be.

I drive a 2007 Honda Civic coupe. Sometimes when I start my car the starter gives a bit of a slow start. Sometimes it may act as if it is not working but after a few seconds the engine will turn over. Does this mean I have to change my starter?

Son tried it again after a few hours- still no start. Any ideas???

Best answer: If you're going to buy off the tool truck, get the high end stuff. Blue point as a second line of tools is for the most part rebranded stuff sourced from a mystery factory in a third world country. There are cheaper and often just as good places to get your decent quality Made in China or Taiwan stuff. Also, take note that a lot of Snap on stuff, especially the specialty tools, are often rebranded and can be had cheaper from the OEM supplier. It will depend on the level of service and warranty support you are getting for paying a premium. If you are not getting an on the spot replacement and your specialty tool has to go back to the factory, there's absolutely no point in buying the Snap on branded version of the tool. For consumables like drill bits, taps, dies, and air chisel bits, it will be hard to justify buying them off the tool truck if the Snap on guy doesn't warranty them. If you do your research on other quality tool options before you'll be a lot better off financially.
