Best answer: Yes, you should definitely have a word with the principle and ask him/her whether they would like it if their daughter was asked to eat something that had fallen onto the floor. People walk on floors bringing in all sorts of bacteria on their shoes. The very fact that it is known all around the school means that this incident has some profile. If it was my child I would definitely be angry and insist on seeing the head or principle. The teacher involved should be disciplined over this.

  • "To Kill A Mockingbird". Don't you just hate that stupid, boring book??? Why do they force us to read that book in English class? It sucks!?

And that movie sucked too! The only good thing about that film was Gregory Peck! Otherwise, I don't see what the big deal is about that book or that movie. It is so very overrated! What does "to kill a mockingbird" mean anyway? Was that in The Bible or something???

  • Why are there some people in school who try so hard and don't do as well as people who don't try as hard as them?

Yet he's top of our class and always get 90s on quizzes. I try really hard but sometimes I don't always do well. Today we were in groups for physics questions and I had no clue how to do any of it. Yet these two other girls in my group completely understand. Why is it like this? Does it have to do with our brains? I'm just wondering. For instance in grade 9 I studied for 2 weeks, 2 hours a day for a Math P.A.T. It was really hard, to be honest and I got a 73 on it. I was so sad I cried so much. Some people studied for it but would of got 90s. Why are there these types of students in school? Do I not absorb information that well?

Grr... I'm in high school right now and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing anymore. I want to pick up so many new things but I can't do any more things because I have no time, and everyone says I should only specialize on 1-2 things I'm good at because of college admissions and whatever...which I understand, but it makes life seem...boring....So basically I have to pick 1-2 things and be really committed, and stick to it, but I can't because I don't know what i want to do anymore....The things I already am good at, I'm getting bored of. Which sucks because this always happens, where I do something for a few years and want to quit. But it's too late to quit because I've spent so much energy on them, and apparently it's too late to learn new things that I probably can't get good at and will "waste time." So yeah please help, what is happening with my life??!11

  • Currently very stressed about next years high school schedule?

Ok so I have a question, just based on your experience how hard do y’all think it would be for a high school student to keep a 4.4 GPA, play 3 sports, keep a girlfriend, participate in 7 different extra-curricular activities, and still have a social life?

Best answer: Email your teachers and let them know about your father's operation and your concerns. They may try to accommodate your situation or they may not but it's worth a shot. Studying for exams is overwhelming and honestly its a flawed system but you need to keep your head down and get it done. It's gonna suck but nobody said it was easy. I know you feel like you have a lot to do but you need to take an hour break, do something to relieve stress whether its a nap, a walk. shopping, hanging out with friends, etc. You are not going to retain any info with the state you are in. When you are refreshed, go back to studying and make sure you take lots of breaks. For every hour you study, take a 10 minute break and switch up the subjects. It's scientifically proven that studying in short bursts is more effective than cramming. Just remember that once you write those exams you are done and you get to rest but until then you need to work hard. As for your father, I hope all goes well with his operation but theres nothing you can do so worrying is not going to help you and you need to try to focus. He would much rather you do well on your exams than worrying about him while trying and failing to study. You will survive this I promise! Good grades are worth fighting for and you need to fight! maybe a lighter course load in the future. Learn form your mistakes and don't take failures to heart, e v e r y o n e fails, trust me! Good luck!
