• Do you think Wynton Marsalis is a friend or foe of Jazz?

Does his relatively rigid definition of jazz do more to stifle and repress innovation or to preserve integrity and tradition? Why or why not?

  • Which jazz singer do you enjoy more: Louis Armstrong or Dean Martin?

Best answer: I think you need to do more research before asking questions like this. The answer is Louis Armstrong because he WAS actually a jazz singer. Dean Martin was not and never was a jazz singer. He was classed as a 'Crooner' in the same way Bing Crosby was and there is no way you can say Crosby was a jazz singer. show more
