  • If TV shows and movies were black and white during the early and middle 20th century (Years 1900-1964), was the world back then black/white?

Best answer: You know, right, that in 1900 there was very little electricity, no phones, no radio, no TV, no airplanes, only a few cars used by the very rich and of course no computers or internet. I was born before TV, cell phones, the computer and the internet. Toilet paper was invented only about 20 years before my father... show more

  • Which types of people like the show "FRIENDS" so much & WHY? it was/is so dull?

Best answer: It was a possible scenario, and one that attracted guys who could only "HOPE" to be living with 2 girls. We never saw the downside...the synchronized PMS days was left out. Which would have been HELL in this living arrangement. The same people watch Cheers and the BigBangTheory. It is called light hearted... show more

The same people watch Cheers and the BigBangTheory. It is called light hearted situational comedy.
. The studios were experimenting with how many people is needed to make a stage show. Minimum 3 & up to 7 regulars. For the studios, they make money showing shows from the people that buy commercial space. "This Hour has 22 minutes" which was a consumer protection type show and the title tells you how much of the hour long movie is actually movie(and the 38 minutes is Commercials) for any show on that channel. Other channels were not much different. Like Wow. The advertising industry has taken over T.V. and invaded our homes with their junk.
. The Advertising group is trying the same stuff on the internet...a place where you should be able to go commercial free. If I want a product "I WILL SEEK THEM OUT" Otherwise the WonderBra is not something I want, or toothpaste or pit stick. But money talks.
So I "AD-Block the sht out" and am not suffering at all.
Documentaries is so SCHOOL.(who wants to LEARN when they don't have to?

Entertain me with Spartacus "Blood and Sand" uncensored... or Pirates of the Caribbean or Guardians of the Galaxy or spaghetti Westerns...not boring Soaps.
The Addams Family, the Munsters, Star Trek, Bonanza, Bewitched, I dream of Jeannie,Gomer Pyle, Hogan's Hero's, Mash, the Love Boat, Taxi, All in the Family, BayWatch, Maxwell Smart and many more....
way the hell beats out all the Doctor, Lawyer, Police & Politic shows that now flood TV
Comedy(& babes) over situational Drama any day. I need an escape from day to day living.

  • Does anyone know how TV ratings are compiled? Do you know anyone who's ever been surveyed for the Nielsen, BARB or any other TV ratings?

Does anyone out there know of even a friend of a friend of a friend who's been surveyed? I don't. It sounds like a fix to me. Nobody's ever asked me what I watch. Not once. And stuff I like is pulled off the air all the time!

  • What if, without warning, the USS Enterprise's saucer section was destroyed pulverized by an asteroid impact?

Best answer: Even though the NCC-1701 has an auxiliary bridge somewhere in the main section of the ship, I doubt the crew would be able to regain complete control of the ship before system failures caused a chain reaction that would result in the complete destruction of the vessel.
