Best answer: Reading this question made me angry. He sounds exactly like my ex and my situation was pretty much the same. Your husband is being self absorbed, childish and verbally abusive. Who calls the person they love a lazy c***??? HE is the lazy one. And that’s not how a husband should speak to the woman who gave birth to his child. Why would he want another kid with someone he thinks is a lazy c*** anyway?? Please don’t have another child wth him unless you get things straightened out. Things will only get worse. If he is willing to go for counseling and can see how awful his behavior is, there may be hope but he sounds like such an awful partner, if one can even call him that. Like I said, I have been there and I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I didn’t even see how bad it really was in my situation until I was out of it and with a totally different kind of guy. I urge you to get yourself some counseling to help you handle this. Good luck.

  • Is it possible to breast-feed an adopted infant, specifically if you're still lactating during your child's weaning phase?

I've always wanted to adopt, and I know breastmilk has a lot of benefits. I also know you can keep breastfeeding if a child keeps nursing. What if I adopted an infant during the end of my child's weaning, and just breastfed the adopted child? I think that's what wet-nurses did, if I'm not mistaken.... show more

Seems more efficient than purchasing formula, at the very least. Pretty sure Penelope Cruz breastfed a child at a refugee camp during a visit. And if it is possible, why don't more families do that?

She does know how to self soothe because most of the time when she wakes up in the middle of the night she will fall back asleep on her own.

Our daughter isn’t even a month old. He makes good money but he doesn’t want to “financially” support me is what he’s told me. I’m so stressed out and I’m not sure what to do. I assume he thinks I sit on my a*s all day watching tv or something. Any advice? I feel so pressured with a new born and now having to job search. I should add we aren’t BROKE or financially struggling!

  • When you gave birth who was in the room with you?

Best answer: Doc, nurses, and the two that made the baby. Childbirth isn’t a spectator sport! Plus, I nursed immediately after birth & before they washed him up. It would have been awkward to do that with other people in the room.

We have 3 kids (ages 3 months, 3 years, and 4 years). They each have a different set of Godparents. The Godmother of our 3 month has asked if they can take the baby for a night. I'm a little hesitant about it , since he's so young. My husband agreed without even discussing it with me first. That issue aside, I know the Godparents of 3 year old would take him for a night to give us some much needed couple time. However, the Godmother of our 4 year old would most likely not agree to take her, nor would I even ask due to the attitude of her husband (he's not the same religion as we are). I know one of other two would also take our 4 year old, but it seems a little weird. A colleague told me she wouldn't if she were me. I completely trust both couples that are Godparents to our boys, and all live relatively close to each other. But at the same time, a fellow church member told us that it's important we take care of ourselves, too. She offered to babysit an evening for us to have a date night (which we haven't had in 4 years). Am I just being too paranoid (if that's even the right word) or too "helicopter mom"? The only time I've ever been away overnight from any of my kids was when I was in the hospital having the next one. Sure, they're with the babysitter during the day, but that's during the day, during the week. This would be on a weekend, from Saturday night to Sunday. The only time we really have to spend with our kids.

My son is 8 months old, he is 30 pounds. He has an ear infection but is on strong antibiotics. He’s been doing fine up until tonight. He just recently began an awful cough in which infant cough medicine does not help at all. So I️ figured to give him half of a teaspoon of zarbees nighttime cough medicine. It says not recommended for kids under 12 months but I’m desperate and i figured doing less than half the serving amount would be fine plus he’s a big boy. And he slept for an hour. Then he kept waking up crying so i gave him his infant Motrin because i thought maybe his ear was hurting. But he is still not nursing, still having trouble staying asleep and now seems to have s runny/stuffy nose. I spaced out the medicines hours in between to make sure not to mix anything. I also gave him his antibiotics tonight as well. Could mixing all these medicines in one night affect him this badly?? I️ don’t know what to do help please!!
