You just need the grids (cube shelves) and some coroplast (corrugated plastic-- from home improvement stores -- can be found near where they keep the plexiglass {I've found that many store employees don't know what it is or where it is.}).

This link from the same site shows you how to make one:

Here's a sample of one I made, but there are more samples at the site:

I have 2 cats and I’m assuming one of them killed the rat because we don’t use rat poisoning and it was right at my front door, should I take him to the vet or is it okay?

  • What Dewormer to use for raccoons?

I rescued two raccoons, does anyone know what dewormer I can use on baby raccoons? There about 8-9 weeks old. I don’t care about “get them to this or that” I’ve already tried, I’m going to set them free don’t worry.

First thing I do with all my rodents is train them to come for treats, a sound. I make a smootch sound or ring a little cage bell, they come running for their treats, My ratties could be anywhere, I say 'come and get it guys' and 3 rats waste no time running to me.

  • Are rats related to squirrels?

Best answer: Fairly close, in the same order (rodents), that is as close as it gets. Different sub order makes them very different animals genetically.

She keeps doing it to the bottom right hand corner (it would start about 5:30pm to 6am everyday). She has toys, hay etc in the cage. I let her out of the cage everyday; she ll run around for about 5-10 minutes then she goes back into the cage, and starts pinging it. I can t cope with the noise. I try blocking the corner, but she just keeps moving the stuff out of the way. She doesn t like being out of the cage for too long. Her and her cage-mate get along. It has been going on for about 3 months now. Nothing has changed in her environment or my environment (nothing is different then how it usually is. No new smells etc). If nothing changes then I have to get rid of her because the noise she makes as she pings the bars is too much. Any ideas?

Later on, he kept falling on his side and couldn t stay up and he would squeak in pain if you tried to move him. Right before he passed he was twitching and lying on his side. I usually clean his cage once a week, but it had been two weeks since I had cleaned it last this time. Could the dirty cage have killed my piggy? I just wanted to ask this because I am feeling extreme regret about it.

I wouldn't worry to much yet. Its been 2 hours and the hamster has probably never seen a ramp before. She just needs more time to figure it out.
