  • Help with fragrance oils for candle making.?

    Your Answer:
I'm just getting into candle making and right now the fragrance oils are killing me. What are the best brands with affordable pricing? I know it's not good to go cheap but right now I'm just getting started so I... show more

  • We are installing a laminate waterproof wood floor in our basement.?

    Your Answer:
The laminate boards are 12 mm thick and had good reviews from Home Depot. The basement which is a concrete foundation is not level. It has some variations ~ .25 inch in some places but it isn't horrible. What kind of underlayment is recommended? Thanks! Also, is there anything we need to keep the lock in place floor boards from moving too much?

  • How would I display a beach towel on the wall without putting holes in it?

    Your Answer:
I'm a disney freak and I don't want to have the towel ripped/faded by using it. I want to display it on my wall but I don't want to do it with nails, and I don't think the sticky tabs would hold it

  • What mattress should I buy?

    Your Answer:
I’m currently fifteen and sleeping in a dinky little twin that I’ve had as long as I can remember. I’ve set my sights on a queen, but I’m not entirely sure where to start looking. I intend on paying for it myself, as my parents don’t need the added expense, but I’m working minimum wage and very few hours, so the price of the mattress matters,... show more

  • We are pulling up old carpeting from our floors. Do you think anyone would want FREE but old, somewhat stained carpeting for any reason?

    Your Answer:
If so, for what type of room or projects? No insulting comments please. I believe in recycling / reusing things. Thanks.

  • How do I recreate this texture on my walls and ceilings?

    Your Answer:
This is what the walls and ceilings look like throughout my house (see attached photo). I'm doing basic redesigns in different rooms and I really like the way this looks, but I don't know how to recreate it after removing built-ins, etc. Is there a special tool to use with joint compound to do this, or maybe a specific type of paint? How do... show more

  • Is acrylic paint easily flammable?

    Your Answer:
I am making a DIY nightlight using a mason jar, some acrylic paint, and a silhouette I found on the internet. I m worried about the paint (once dried) catching fire or burning if I put a tealight candle in the jar. Is acrylic flammable? If so, is there another alternative? Thanks in advance :)
